Ask the experts here

Whats the big deal on this launch when they dont launch the top of the line?
The previous xtx still perform better than the new xt

if want top of line still stick to previous xtx is it?

If you want the best, buy Nvidia.

The new AMD card improved mainly in ray tracing and FSR4.

You want top of the line, go RTX5090. AMD go 7900XTX. This is a mid range card launch, just like 5070Ti launch.

And 1.2k to 1.4k for sls shops selling at scalper prices
1.4k can forget about 9070xt le, might as well go 5070ti which is generally faster. even 1.2k is a stretch and not much better value, remember 4070s was same msrp and generally sold around s$900-1.1k last year.

not sure if waiting for better prices is the way to go, since hwu mentioned amd is providing only temporary rebates to hit their lower than intended price, before considering any tariffs. looks like they also overhyped this launch like the 7900xtx, claiming bigger improvements than reality.

techdynamic lazada 1099 for asrock taichi 9070xt , $55 off with lazada voucher so $1045.

Considering the modus operandi for local distro is at least US MSRP * 1.6, this price seems quite good for OC model

With the voucher still ok.

Otherwise, up to person buying to decide if $200 premium is worth paying for local service.

taichi is asrocks highest end model, and even without voucher is reasonable ish for local pricing, given that most oc models are expected to sell well over the usd600 msrp (~us$750 for xfx and sapphire top models). with the voucher, somewhat decent deal. hopefully this means more mainstream options cost closer to or even below 1k.
Is the card available today or tomorrow?
tmr.

Hopefully this means that the NITRO+ is around 1.1K too

If you already have an XTX or 4080S/4070TI S/4070TI/3090/7800XT, there isn't a point to upgrade to this.

That said It's a great entry point for anyone looking to buy new now, so long as prices aren't stupid insane. It's basically in between 5070Ti and 5070 performance in both raster and RT, previous flagship loses to 9070XT in most RT scenarios. To be fair, it's RT performance is about on par with the 3090/4070Ti which is better than the 5070, if it reliably priced under the 5070, it's a no-brainer move to go AMD for this gen.

Read the review from hwz. RT performance looks much weaker...

If you have 4080S/4070TiS you shouldn't even be looking at 9070XT or any of the 5000 cards.

I'm having 12GB 4070Ti, resales value still okie. Changing to a better card like 9070XT required me min top up anyway. Will wait for the price then see how.

9070 xt's performance has quite varied performance but i like to look at this game's performance on GPUs as this game doesn't have any upscaling built into it at all. 100% native.

Depends on the game RT implementation. Some games use light RT effects, some more intensive ( like Black Myth )
