My 6mpbs, $46.90 mio home contract ended in September 2011...

Saw this thread and called up 1688...

The CSO says no such $23++ recontract deal. Was quoted the price on the web with 1 month free for 24month contract.

Actually i signed up a 200mbps fibre last night which i dun need the speed.

If i am able to get to recontract 10mbps @ $23++ i will pay the penalty of $68 to cancel my fibre application.

How do i get to recontract @ $23++

please advice..

thanks.

If you have already signed up, then bo bian, cant avoid termination charges. However, it will still be MUCH cheaper to cancel and go for ADSL even though u have to pay for $68 termination fee, at least u havent install they wont charge u thousands of dollars.

As for the $23 10mbps plan, i think you cant change to it as you are currently on bundled service. You need to de bundle ur tel broadband and mio tv. Also note that on this $23 plan, you will need to pay $29.43 per quarter for hse tel. Do you watch the mio or have any singtel handphone in ur house? If you do, advise u to stick to ur 6mbps or just upgrade 10mbps. If u dont, u should try to ask for the $23 plan.

Either way, 200mbps is still much more exp than all the other options and you shouldnt take unless ur family has multiple users on at the same time. My household has 5 people regularly using each evening and our 10mbps still holding out ok, even gaming is fine, only cant have downloading or else cause whole family to lag lol

Any promotion for re-contract Singnet 10 Mbps?

Anyone know the $23 one year contract still available?

Just renewed the $23/mth 10Mbps 12-mth contract today.
Retention dept not opened today (Sun) but CSO I spoke to is able to close the deal.
But no modem though - warranty extended for the current one for additional 1 year.

The door to door salesboy told me once i signed cannot cancelled, need to pay the penalty of $68. called up 1688, direct to fibre department, told me they have not received from the contractor, so they will inform them to cancel, no charges will be incurred...

Spoke to a nice CSO, wanted to change my house number since 6 years ago when i got my house coz always got midnight calls, finally she can change for me, and FOC. Told me the $23 plan is available, i juz need to go and cancel my Mio-Tv from my MioHome, then call in 1688 to request for the plan. Forgot to ask abt the free modem.

Is the black modem standard item for renewing 12month contract for the 10mpbs $23.45 plan???

Thanks again.

what is the settings for singnet ADSL 15Mb connection.
I just upgraded to 15Mb from 6Mb.
cannot connect using my buffalo adsl modem.
now using the aztech modem they provide, where i only key in my username and password.

for the buffalo, i need to configure many other settings

The black modem Singtel is giving out for re-contract, is it 2wire5012nv?
Is this better than the white one?
