got the 15mbps plan at 28.9 for 2 yrs.
told them i wanna terminate my existing 10mbps plan.
reject their cso offer as too ex for what it is. said its not much lower than m1 fibre plans.
ask what better offer they can give.
they transferred me to the retention dept who then gave me e 28.90 plan.
took it straight away.

but you pay 28.9 for BB, still have to pay the $30/3months for fixed phone line right? end up is almost $39 which is the price for M1 100mbps, just add $2 and you get the phone line also.

Doubt so, my friend. Your contract ends after 24months, not 21. 21St month recontract is if you wish to retain or upgrade your plan, which is kinda silly since you don't get freebies, unlike your mobile phone plans.

Just let your entire 24 months finish, return your miotv equipment to drop to no frills broadband, and request to be transferred to retention because you wish to terminate your services.

If you still have 3 months left to the end of your contract, do you honestly think the operator have grounds to transfer you to the retention department? No matter how much you bang the table, you are still under contract.

Patience is a virtue. Let the contract end, and your options will open.

so confirm those with bundled contract currently cannot take up the 23.45 deal untill the 24 months finish ar?

Just to share experience here.
Currently on 3mbps, paying $23.72, contract expired long ago. Called in, asked sales staff to check for me current promo and whats the best deal available, deal she offered was lousy. Then I asked to be transferred to retention dept. She asked for a reason why, I just said "I understand that there are some better promotions which only the retention dept can offer", so she said ok.. asked me hold.

Then spoke to a guy from retention dept.... he offered $23.45 for 10mbps plan.... then I asked for modem, he say will request for me... then said he will send in and Sales dept will call me in 3 working days.

After I hang up, then I realised I forgot to ask if can waive the fixed line telephone charges.... problem is, home phone line is my father's name, internet plan is my name...

any advice from brothers here appreciated. Forums are really powerful!! Sharing info and good deals!!! Cheers!

you get $23 for 10mbps and no need to pay $30/3mths for the phone line ?
how you managed to do it ?

mine is the $28 for 15mbps plan, 24 mths contract. previously was on 10mbps with $5/mth rebate.
just ask nicely. some might give u in the form of line rebates like $10/mth which is the same as full waiver.
it really depends on who u get at the other end...it's almost like a roll of dice!

Anyone who was on $23 for 10mps last year, managed to recontract at $23 and house phone line rebate as well? Called this morning, they say no more phoneline rebate. :(
