Anyone who was on $23 for 10mps last year, managed to recontract at $23 and house phone line rebate as well? Called this morning, they say no more phoneline rebate.

i call 1688 the second time and this time i request nicely to them to forward my call to retent dep and they finally gave me the $28 plan with $10 phone line rebate but without new moderm

does your 28dollars include GST??
if it include, i will be a better off deal then 23.45 with no phone line rebate right?

do ur maths...23.45 plus quaterly phone charges of 27 will come up to more than 30 per mth...

well there is a diff of 12 months and 24 months contract period if u are aware.

i'm fully aware. so? i'm quite happy to take the deal as it saves me the hassle to recontract every year but to each his own.

oops forgot to state my problem here. they informed me since 21 Feb. called and called and called they still say processing.

i'm just stating 2 plans are on different terms, because sinktel like to smoke customers one. well good for u loh, i just monitoring a little longer till fibre becomes more stable for my area.

ok. Today I called the 2nd time. The girl on the other end said no more rebate. I pressed for the answer why some have and some don't have. She said the phone rebate is only for Singtel phone line customers who does not have broadband and the phone line rebate of $10 is only for 1 year.

So I hung up and decided to wait for tomorrow PC show and see if the Fibre deals got sweeter.

i believe the decision to give phone rebates also depends on the incremental usage/historical additional charges (airtime/vas/idd) for your phoneline for land calls.

If i am Singtel retention, i prolly also look at any few more bucks Singtel collects every month from u, before deciding give rebate, 0, 12 out 24 mths.

However, argument can go the other way round too.
