It seems like Singnet don't allow me to auto-recontract via online. Need to call in, but anyone knows why? :s11:

Then tell me, what is your plan rated downlink speed. Then see your line sync. Got the answer now?

Stated download by Singnet: 10mbps (according to tests, speed is reached)
Stated upload by Singnet: 1mbps (according to tests, speed is not reached)

However, I was previously on the 8mbps download plan, with 512kbps upload speed. I hit both the download and upload speed when doing the test.

But now that I am on 10mbps, the upload speed is not reached.

That's the question. Does anyone have the answer to this?

Thanks.

relay and rewire new HQ tel. cable, better still all the way to exchange. change your telephone and LAN connectors to gold plated.

not speedtest from speedtest.net, is the linestats from modem.

ajax_84 depend on line stats and modem also.

the line has conductivity for dsl. but maybe line not that good enough for higher transmission rate.

but the most common fault lies with hardware like microfilter and the modem itself. try a new microfilter first.

i was using netgear modem until it failed recently, getting 18 down 0.87 up. after i change to brand new 2wire as back up, i get about 15down only.

same case with other modems as well. 3com wireless G that did superb 24/7 on 10mbps always hit the bottleneck @ 18mbps and spike at times. after which tried a newer N product and it handled 18mbps well enough.

just be logical and open in ur approach and it'll be solved in no time. try not to call the tech staff before doing all these, because they cant help much if its not an isolated line/modem issue.

oh ya as long as it does not fall consistently below 70% of the rated speed, likely tech support will not be down. as its a best effort basis.

Go LOOK at your modem line sync rates first.

Or in another way, I will simply put it this way, you're actually getting 1Mbps but not in practical form.

I called them again just now to ask for the $5 waiver haha. And they said yes! Is this waiver for 12 months? This is such a good deal.
