any solution for ADSL customers? can't take fibre cos opennet went to install my fibre point right beside the door

Just lay a flat cat 6 cable around your house.

You should have instructed them where to terminate the fibre.

My dad was the only one around and they never ask/told him anything. just install beside the door and left

Only old one around and even though told to tell the opennet guys to install the terminal beside the TV antenna point, yet they install beside the main door, at the far end across the living room and opposite the antenna point/TV rack.
Called them up kao-pei-kao-bu then they came down 2 days later to re-lay the trunking and cable, no charges involved.
Bloody f**king lazy pigs.
Singapore service providers must get f**ked then they wake up one.

OpenNet contractors are so dumb to realize where is the most suitable location to relieve resident from all inconvenience and troubles?

I had the same experience when I first installed mine years ago. The installers just wanna choose the easiest way and go through existing SCV trunking. Made the mistake of not being there myself to supervise. Had to call and make a big fuss before they came down to redo it the way I wanted.

i think for ADSL users, you can to 300mbps fibre at 31.90.

i still think 7002 for ur room and 2wire for living, den 1900 for what purpose??

edit: replace ur living to 7002 and get 1900 for ur own room

My father 2 story old maisonette is currently on singtel 10mps, recently he said signal is very bad for downstairs or even other rooms on the same level. His router is the 2wire one, is there any new router with good range of signal we can buy for him to replace this 2wire which is 2 years old already.

Last time, we wanted to get fiber for him. but he doesn't like to lay cable around the house thus we have to stick to the convention package using the phone plug and his computer is on the 2nd level in one of the room.

The only thing I can think of is replacing with a new router and hoping will help.

Please advise.

Try repositioning the router, maybe more towards the staircase landing.

Go search on Singtel's site for more details! Its basically a device that extends your wifi range

If it is wifi problem, I suggest buying an Access Point (AP) instead of a router. Just have to wire from router to AP using a ethernet cable if the AP uses power over ethernet. APs usually cover a greater range
