called CSO today and was told that $23 promo only valid for 1 yr and cannot recontract 2nd yr with same price. 2nd yr will be reverted to original subscription plan ie $46+

However, he did say that to call up "Customer Retention Department" on Monday to negotiate if I intended to terminate....That was the tip he gave :D

can I continue to use my DSL-2640T (currently 8mbps) instead of the new black modem they giving? :)

what's the diff...?
DSL-2640T has WLAN interface supporting wireless speeds of up to 54 Mbps while 5012NV is 802.11N capable of supporting wireless speeds of up to 300 Mbps.

My new 2wire 5012NV modem just died yesterday after using it for about a month. Not a very stable modem it seems... compared to the white one since i get more disconnections from it with default settings on both modems.

Your disconnection is due to wireless or adsl line quality no good? Get the fact straight, pls.

Not many thing because cheap is means good.

Not many thing because expensive is means good either :s13:

The correct term should be finding a plan that provides the user with the best return based on the usage level.

Ok, Just called them to "demand" about this package! They asked where did I hear it from, which I say my friend. Then they said they will proceed with this plan for me and get back to me soon. Seems like a good upgrade with a free modem!
