I don hv the black one so cant test it out. As for the white one, wireless connection tend to drop when use. Not sure why, I got 2 sets of the white one both also same problem. Call ST they say my line problem, full of craps.

So end up I still used back the Thompson ST 536V6 with linksys router. The ST 536v6 was given during the 3mbps days ( already more than 6yrs ) till today.

Feedback on their website regarding this promo last saturday and got a call today to finalize the recontract. contract starts/modem coming in this fri.

Thanks for this thread, have successfully recontracted at $23+ as well, 1 month before end of my 10mbps contract.

No modem or router though. Only thing is if modem is spoilt within the 1st yr, can call up and change.

Yes, tks to this thread too. I have just re-contracted at $23+ as well. It comes with a free wireless modem (5012NV) though. Its signal strength is much better than the old 2-Wire white modem and it's wireless N capable.

I think will sign up M1 $39 100Mbps Fibre in coming IT show(24-28 Nov).

Seems like the new modem is made available randomly. I have just called to re-contract and was told that there will no new modem issued (after the CSO has checked twice with her superior), despite telling the CSO that the current 2wire white modem is having some problems. Did not proceed with the re-contract afterall. Will try my luck again tomorrow.

But the CSO said that there is no free modem, and agreed to extend the warrranty for my current 2wire white modem.*Roll eyes* I insisted that there is free modem given away for previous signups they accepted for this plan, and I was told a CSO will call me back.

True enough, Singnet will be giving me the free black modem and activating my plan on 27Oct11.

Thanks to all the members who wrote the previous posts to inform me that there is such a plan going on.

since june/jul with a huge signups, they terminated the $10 rebate. i was lucky to get it after some jostling with retention cso.
