Actually ON installation is professional and the cable and OTP is so neat. If such installation will mass up your house then why sg gov launch it? So many people live in house so ON will mass up all the houses? Too much imagination.

Try to find the old starhub hubstation which used to be sold to customers vs being rented now. They got free 1mbps. I using that for many years Liao. Play dota , download movies , use flipboard all OK.
100mbs , 300mbs.... I really don't see the point lo. I rather have 10mbs at 10 dollars than 100mbs at 30 dollars....
I only pray my hubstation last me many more years....

Yup, either power line, wireless access points or repeaters should do the job.

Low income family can pay as low as $6/mth with gov assistance. Just need to call IDA and ask them and they will sure be able to give you some direction on how to apply.

Those low income earners must be without internet then they will receive the letter. If one already has internet and paying for it for some time, it meant that he can afford it. Those people may be still waiting for their internet and computer.

i believe it is not so serious as to mess up the houses but more towards unsightly trunking that does not goes well with newly renovated house

Ermm.. if the broadband speed is only 15mbps, adding a homeplug that can hit 80mbps is overkill ?

No la, the trucking is very thin and it is done nicely. So many families had it done and i have no complaint at all.

However, SingTel came to install a new telephone line for the broadband but DC problem still occurs a few moments over a few days.

ADSL is like that, normal. Even my 500M fibre also keep lagging. Contract ending change isp.

Upgrading to fibre 100mbps. But wiring within the house is still old type. And i think the fastest poweline homeplug is about 80mbps? Not sure.

Care to explain what u mean wiring is `old' type??? Fiber means that ur ONT will connect to ur router which means ur devices can connect either by wireless or wired...and ur RJ45 should be a cat 5...which is more than sufficient to handle 100Mbps.

Wiring within the house is all copper wire. The government built a fibre line/access point which terminates at a box inside the house. That's all.

Understand now.....yes, u can use homeplug but there are caveats u've to take note of, eg, not recommended to use multiplug adapter, quality of copper wire, homeplug will not perform to specs, etc, etc.

U can connect using wireless or lay lan lines. Getting a router with 5Ghz will ensure u can fully utilize ur wireless speed at 100Mbps.

Would like to check anyone here is still using this 10mbps plan and wishes to terminate? I would like to take over...as i wish to sponsor a less fortunate family with internet. Notice currently $29 is the cheapest for internet , which is fibre from m1.

the family doesnt need fibre. just normal internet for basic surfing.
Of course...i am still hoping for a plan less than $20. seems like none of the ISP is interested to cater to the less fortunate family or even the silver age family who cannot afford
