4000 cannot last, must be hardcore gamer liao

Not true.

Try to surf the net (with TOR-over-VPN), watch many YouTube or stream videos you'll see your battery drops very fast. I have done it on my 5000mAh Mate 20X phone and I can see it drop very fast.

The batteries all only 4000mAh ah. Looks like cannot last a day

This review has the answer you need.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw_AqOSoTqM
Battery life part starts at 8:00
  • 100% brightness + open performance mode + continuous demanding game on wifi (if data will decrease battery life more) = around 4 hrs
  • If drop down from 90hz, maybe can get 5hrs. So its about average according to this youtuber.

Also watch his full review video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjmvlHZuD8s
Battery life starts at 8:05
It seemed he did another 2 separate tests, one for 90hz and another for 60hz based on this scenario:
  • slightly over 50% time on youtube + less than 20% gaming + remaining on social and internet
Running at 90hz give him 8 hrs (from Gsam).
While 60hz gets him almost 11hrs. But this test he did 50-50 on wifi vs data.

I think this is fantastic result.

You are not wrong, it is possible to drain a 4000mah battery in a day. But that is a extreme case, wouldn't you say so ?

Most people, studying or working will not be on their phone the whole day "surfing the net (with TOR-over-VPN), watch many YouTube or stream videos"

Heck I personally end up with 10~20% with my 3000mah daily most of the time. Of course, that's because I am not on my phone all the time as I have to work and mostly use it during commute and breaks in between.

Strange we are are discussing phones from Realme that has a reputation for slow to market in Singapore. So far no X, XT, X2, much less the X2 pro.

In fact no Realme X series phone sold in Singapore but Europe has it. :s22:

I am using an realme X2, 8/128 , CN rom now.

The ColorOS is quite a letdown imo when i compare /w my CN rom RMN4.

If there's stock AndroidOne on that hardware it probably could bring out its potential.

Got it through aliexpress.

In other news - NFC CC payment and transitlink works.
Has this dual wifi thing that supposedly aggregates a 2.4 /w 5hgz wifi.
But only work with specific , selected apps.
Less than 72h in with the device.
Pretty ok at 380sgd

That's the major thing holding back realme from challenging xiaomi. Even among Chinese rom, they are not there yet.

I heard they are going for a closer to stock look for version 7.

Look no use.
Hardware is ok but the coloros is not, or seems not to be.
Xiaomi variety of rom beats the coloros which i have.
Too aggressive power saving.
Would not recommend to buy this CN set unless i can properly compare with a Global ROM sometime.

Gimmicky OS I'd say the coloros

I'm not even gonna compare it to my Mate9.
