hi, did ur steps correctly but ended up able to only select high definition audio device, which it states not supported. using a p55cd53 motherboard, dled the realtek driver frm msi website..

fyi, theres 2 audio ports on the mobo, hd audio and ac'97, mine is plugged to hd audio, will this affect the installation?

hmm i follow the readme from the folder, including the restart and safemode.. it says device not supported. uninstall all, restart and repeat again, no luck.

btw is the DDL works? cause im using DDL with my current realtek, if it doesnt work i'll just stay with the original driver..

i am admin, i turn off UAC and i did right click. of course it's obviously a must. btw i just remember in 2009 i tried the old x-fi mb1 and it didnt work on my realtek either. so i guess my realtek isn't compatible with it.

i finally got it to work after 2nd try, i followed the steps, but just to add on, make sure your anti-virus is disabled after evry reboot, run every single file in the steps as admin, and after the first reboot, the driver automatically installed a 2nd time and had to reboot again before extracting 'SB_XFi2_R17'.Not sure whether that was supposed to happen but still, managed to get it to work!

If your device inf is inside the device driver you shoulf at least get crystaliser and the other one.
If you get all the .kga (at least 10 different KGA Files Generated NOT copied) files in C:\Programdata\Creative\SoftwareLock then you did it correctly but your Realtek Device is the problem.
If you didn't get all the files then you are the problem (Cannot Follow Instructions).

then i believe my device is the problem... got the 10 kga files, from CTD1JXF23A.kga to CTT92KD23N.kga, all are 1KB each.

hi guys,

just to let u guys know i might release another version of X-Fi for realtek codec is totally diff from this R2.66 modded. or i can said is better version and easy install.

i have to test first.

Update

result : fail

the 2nd modded version is 100% clearer, sharper and bass is much louder.

Added SRS technology/DTS/Dolby Advanced audio 2/ Game,Music,Movie mode. sound quality improvement alot, but always has sound hang bug or half way totally no sound.

so i won't be releasing this driver

i will try my best to support u

Hi,

I also have a problem.

TruStudio Pro does not work. When I click the "audio device selection" in TruStudio Pro, it tells me "there is no supported audio devices available". I can activate TSP and click through its options, but it won't change the sound or anything, since I cannot pick an output device.

I've got an ALC892 on ASRock Z68. Without the Mod Driver and X-Fi MB2 Software, I can use the two TruStudio Pro options "crystalizer and speaker" since they are licensed by asrock and I can also change my device/output without the error message i get now.

I can use CMSS-3D and Crystalizer with the mod though.

But I would like to be able to use the other TruStudio options as well.
