Hi ov2rey, thanks for the great job done on the mod drivers. Your readme file could be a little explicit though, had to read 5 pages on this thread and finally managed to get the drivers working after several installs and run throughs.

what about new driver releases from Realtek? Can i use them or need i a modded driver?
My 892 sounds awesome with this mod.

ov2rey, there is a weird anamoly happening when playing back audio (mp3s and videos), after playing for awhile the volume would suddenly cut to half and become softer. Volumes control remain untouched, only way to get back the original volume is to stop and play back again. Any help on this?

did u enable SMV?

What is your hardware? If yours is desktop maybe your Realtek supports THX but I am running on Laptop Realtek Codec so I only get the 2 ticks.
Yes, i on Desktop using Realtek ALC889 codec

hello, Im still new here.. I already try to install 2.65.. into my A42JC (win 7 home premium 64 bit)

I follow your instruction in readme.. but not in safe mode (in normal mode) this is what happen to me :

this is the only mod thread for R2.65

R2.66 releasing soon.. maybe tomorrow

i will fix some bug and rewrite the installation step.

no this is newer and better.


R2.66 will be release tonight, after I test finish

last time i remember just install if the onboard is realtek can liao.
currently am using a biostar board with onboard realtek HD audio codec (Realtek ALC892 6-Channel Blu-ray Audio)
but when i d/l the pack u listed on the 1st post. (following the readme) it doesnt seem to work.

when i try starting the thx settings, it tells me n osupported audio device found.
same goes to the creative consol launcher etc.

dude, you don't need creative sound card to install this driver

your realtek HDA 892 codec is supported.

pls kindly try R2.66

Cool, still downloading the file, can I just update the realtek drivers or must reinstall everything else?

I already done what you said.. but when I want to run "creative audio control panel" it keep not responding

Edit : I still don't know, but it works now... actually after do all the step, I try to uninstall the driver .. and reinstall just the custom driver.. and after restart.. it works.. @,@ but.. I lost my grub (backtrack 5R1).. so I must reinstall it again.. or I will depend 100% to my hiren's boot cd.. thx guys :D
