Recommend a PC controller pad

Currently I have a Saitek PS2700 Rumble which has always given me a lot of trouble (BSODs with the software on, new software versions not working, incompatibility with games or mis mapping). Have had it for about 6 years now

So I'm weighing up getting a replacement.

Recommendations? I prefer the Playstation layout. If can dual use with Playstation, it's a plus.

Hopefully not too pricey. Controllers are not items I use that frequently anyway.

I know you said PS layout but have you tried an XB One controller? Right now it's strictly wired but Microsoft said they're gonna make it wireless soon like the XB 360 controller.

I use the dualshock 4 on my pc. Dowload the x360 driver and input mapper. Everything on the ds4 can be configured including the touchpad and the lighting. Can even run wirelessly with Bluetooth

The best i have used is still xbox360 controllers though they have one irritating problem is the battery pack gets loose over time

Yeah I've tried the Xbox style controller... by simply flipping the grey portion of my current controller around. But I prefer the PS layout after trying both on exactly the same controller.

I've been using this one for many years too.
I think there are newer versions now.
But pretty good for me.
Connects combos very smoothly too.
(It's with me in office.)

Hey i have this as well and i like it very much. However after long use, the analog controller left knob spoil already, else i will rate this before the MS...

btw current logitech F710 sucks..

Dualshock 3 can be "tricked" into using xbox 360 drivers.

you sure you don't want to try and adapt? i've used the dualshocks all my life until i quit console gaming earlier this year. at first it was a little weird but now it's all good.

With my current controller I can use both stick layout types. Definitely prefer the PS layout. The xbox layout leads to an asymmetrical layout.

I am using the ps3 dualshock controller to play some games on my pc. Find it to be ok but sometimes quite irritated by the disconnection when gaming halfway. Anyone knows any good and reliable controller that can last long and is wireless for pc gaming use? And also is value for money.

The ds4 can be made to appear like the x360 using input mapper. I have yet to encounter any errors. Furthermore you can configure the ds4 keys to emulate any keyboard key as well. Not sure what your sister is using.

Anyway for the x360 wireless for windows, you need to have the receiver base.

She's using MotionInJoy. To play Dark Souls. Horrible experience in getting it to work.

You need to have the receiver which. only comes with the xbox360 wireless controller. The good thing is that with the receiver you can connect multiple wireless controllers. I learnt this when i bought this from Techdrome, uncle teach me de
