I checked a few drivers for quotations and the average range was about 5000 NTD per half day (10-12hrs) (county to county or within same county), in June. Seems quite high from what I read in this thread.

Price about 10K and above a day.
Even if you split up in cars, also need 3.

Went to Taiwan in March and booked 小林's service. Many people seem to call him 小琳 here but he told me his name is actually 小林。
I brought a big family with total 8 pax, went around the whole taiwan except Hualian side. Service from 小林 was very good, we had senior folks and he made sure to take good care of us. Highly recommend his services and he knows all the good places well, even brought us to some that wasn't in our itinerary. The food places he recommended were also good and all in all we had a good time there, really had a peace of mind throughout, no hiccups and fulfilled everyone's to-do-list from the kids to the adults to the parents.

Just came back from Taiwan and was brought around by Mr Lin. My 2 other friends and I only has praises for his service.
Sharing some of the things he did that made the trip better for us:
We went climbing mountain and crossing river and he was with us every step of the way.
He even helped us take photos without us asking and saved it in an sd card and gave to us foc.
If not for this i think we wont have much photos of this activity because we were quite tired from the climb and wasn't focusing on taking photographs.
There was 1 night my friends and I were hungry around 11pm which is way past the booking timing and he just brought us to a local supper place and he even paid for the meal.
On our second last day we dont know what to do so we whatsapp-ed him. He told us he had just sent another group to the airport and that he's free for the remainder of that day and he just came to meet us and brought us to go eat seafood.
He really made our trip alot alot better. By the end of the trip we more like friends rather than driver-client.

I think it the normal price for now. inflation. pre covid was 4000. Recently alot of my friends got quote 4500ntd.

4 night at Taichung:
Day 3 : lavender cottage n sun moonlake. Stay at fengjia taichung
Day 4: qingjing farm
Day 5: (no idea yet)
Day 6: (no idea yet)
Day 7: take taxi from taichung to taoyuan airport.
wondering if too long at taichung and worry for the drive back to taipei airport too (jam or too long)
