hello, are the drivers mentioned here drive to and fro taipei and taichung or is it cheaper to engage them separately based on the area im going? sorry noob here, first time to tw.

5 adults travelling to taipei for 6 days. im thinking to engage a driver from D1-D3.

D1 - taoyuan airport - tai chung
D2 - SML
D3 - taichung - taipei.

and when i in taipei, day trip to jiu fen shi fen area.

should i engage 2 drivers or just 1? advice and recommendations please. thanks much!

Contact Mr Chen since you have 5 adults, a 9 seater would be more suitable.
Also he would be able to take you on your route from Taoyuan to Taichung to SML then back to Taichung then Taipei, and including the day to jiufen shifen.

I will be going to Taiwan in end Sep to early Oct with my parents. Anyone can recommend drivers for the zone below and propose some route for me?

2days 2 nights - from Airport to Taichung
looking at going to sun moon lake, lavendar cottage, feng jia night market, yizhong street, 中社花市。

3rd day, depart to 清境 and stay for 2days 1 night.

4th day, depart to Taipei
looking at going to 九份，十份(天灯+瀑布),大溪花海，野柳。(anywhere else to add on, pls suggest to me)

my parents are above 60, thus less walking will be good. And where can

any suggestion where to shop for clothing for their age? Pls advise.

i just took 吕至峰 from Puli to Ximending based on one day trip. He is indeed very nice, gave my 3 year old toys to make her happy and brought us to a couple of nice places for scenery and to buy snacks to bring home at our request.

Even carried my daughter to the beach at Hao Wang Jiao at Miao Li and catch tiny crab for her ...lol...

Now at Cityinn Plus XMD washing clothes, update more later.

But in short, he is very sincere and caring fatherly driver.

Not very sure. I only know from Shih Ti Ping to Taipei is 4.5 hours and that haven't count traffic jam and raining.

wanna thank you guys for recommending tw driver and helping with the itinerary in other thread, i ended up travelling with Kevin (孫漣凱) for my taichung and taipei trip. he was with us for 3 days, and my parents really love his service. he's more like a friend than a driver/tour guide. strongly recommend him. he quote me taichung 5k/day, taipei 4k/day.

i used Kevin's service in Oct 2014 and recommended him to my friends and relatives. my relatives just went to tw on 1 Apr and so i liaised with kevin to book his services. He was booked already but he was very helpful to help me find his fellow driver friends to help out. and he not just give me number for me to contact driver myself, but he basically liaised with me as a middleman, help to convey messages and itineraries between me and the driver for my relatives' trip.

those going can consider him, he really more like a friend than just driver! very dependable!

just wanna check.. for those who book driver for taichung/cingjing/hualien.. wad is the market price ar? if i wanna stay 2days in taichung, 1 night in cingjing, 1 night in hualien then go back up taipei... am i supposed to pay more for driver's "accommodation" or stuff like that?

I would suggest 2 Toyota Wish instead of a van... cos the journey from Taipei to foot of Alishan takes about 3 hours and another 2 hours needed to reach the top, so total 5 hours and the route is very snake, very prone to motion sickness, those cannot take it will sure vomit.

If only 1 van with 6 adults and 1 child + all your luggages, i think about it i also sweat.
