previously I was using tapo for corridor due to vandalism case, somehow 1 day when I came home the whole camera was missing. Worst thing is the sd card is inside, no way I could playback to catch the guy.

after that my boss recommended me to use a wired POE system which I can place the recorder inside my house as they have promotion https://www.lionsecurisia.com.sg/cctv-installation-singapore.html

The SD card for my wireless Tapo is located at the ringer inside my house. Yours is super old model?

They tell u got outdoor version. U ask which one.
This is the one.
The outdoor version they refer to is cctv

U want video doorbell just buy Tapo video doorbell then enclosed it in a roof box like metal gate letter box. Your only problem is the wireless signal from your house to the metal gate.
If you can't solve this, whatever cctv or video doorbell also no use.

Many newer cctv models come with IP rating. Get those rated IP64 or above is more than enough

Link not found. Really noob to design the sdcard with the exposed camera unit...

i hang mine on my window grilles facing outside
IMHO.
I think is ok if install on the things that belongs to you e.g. door, gate, window grille, etc.
Corridor wall is a big far fetched.

Corridor wall is a big far fetched.

If the opposite side of that piece of corridor wall is your living room or bedroom. Still got some room to argue that you want to enhance security to prevent people throw cigarette butts or things into the windows

Using Eufy E340. can use battery or AC 12V (not DC).
Liked the video being stored locally in network storage via its own hub, facial recognition too. Define Zones to give neighbors some privacy.

Stepped into blue zone or movement in the zones, start the recording.
