Yeah that money saved going from an i7 to an i5 could be better utilized elsewhere, such as a better graphics card

But they said 970 is value much worth than 980. 980 will be overkill. What do you think? I plan to get more ssd storage

Yes, 970 is gd enough to play GTA5 etc. I running at 3440x1440 with mid settings, no problem with my 5yr old rig. Now with current rig, i can up the settings.

like others said, you can just get AIO PC it will take no little space. AIO wont be able to play those high end games like GTA V though..

Means only required to buy keyboard and mouse (if it doesnt come with it). In any case, i think even if you buy laptop you will also need mouse.

DIY will still be the cheapest, but need to do homework and it will just be another regular desktop.

I know people discuss this everywhere. But still, i am not sure which one I should consider. My budget is around 1.5k-2k, I dont have lcd, keyboard, mouse etc. I know desktop is definitely cheaper and stronger than laptop, but what's my concern is I only have a small desk. So what I will use for desktop/laptop, surfing, listen music, YouTube, games (although I own ps4, and don't have a lot of time to play games, but I still wish to play when I have The mood... Like witcher 3, gtav, rpg etc). And in the end, I am totally a tech noob. Please give me some advice and suggestion. Thanks :)
How small is your small desk? A picture and its dimensions will tell and help a lot better...
