[Recommend] fan replacement for hyper 212

Fan started making weird noises.. i have kept the fan and heatsink clean, need a fan replacement.

it's 140mm fan with the mounting holes identical to 120mm fans ....

even if blocked by the bigger fan , can easily cable tie or twist tie


imo not wise to spend too much on fans ...... because might as well spend it on higher performing parts which the benefit surpass overlocking the cpu to the last 1 or 2 multiplier that bring 2-4% benefit only

As long it works. At least its cable tie CPU fan compare to SMRT using cable ties on the mrt.

is the casing only support 160mm cpu cooler?
if 212 already 160mm tall then the 140mm fan will need to shift down, its bottom holes will be below cooler fins - can cable tie secure bottom half or no need...?

Doesn't hurt to secure since cable tie how much only.

I think that must have been the reason why smrt chose the cable tie option.

can mount on the coolermaster plastic clips ... but the outer 1cm of the fan get block by the clips

many 140mm round frame fans are designed with same holes for 120mm fans
it's the 140mm square frame fans that doesn't fit
