Interesting, I thought it's finally becoming mainstream thanks to the gmmk pro and keychron q1.

Last time it was so damn hard to find... I got my previous keycool kc84 after several hoops.

Anyway I just got a RK84. Some issues though: the WiFi and Bluetooth keeps blinking when there is no wired connection but the cable is still plugged in, even when off (eg if you have usb charging enabled on your PC). Kinda irritating. I have my keyboard connected to a powered switch so I have to unplug the keyboard every night. Looking at getting a usb hub with individual switches to mitigate this.

Also, there is some delay in wired mode whenever the computer boots up. So occasionally I have issues entering bios lol.

Just ordered a hotswap kc84 from taobao. Only 50 with keycaps and all before sea shipping. onna see how it goes.

Btw are there any shops that allow you to test individual switches? Like glorious panda boba u4t all those

Just a minor thing, the Keycool home/end/pgup/down cluster is ordered slightly differently from rk84.

I think 65% best balance for me. I'm using 60% ATM

Same like me, looking at RK61 or Anne Pro 2 for a new KB. To be honest with you, RK61 have more plus points over Anne pro 2.
RK61 has hot-swappable switch support, cost S$30-40 cheaper and has more RGB effect. if you like to swap switches then RK61 is the obvious answer. And it will be since if you have issue with any switches you can replace them yourself.

But i went for the Anne pro 2 in the end. :s17:

Cos i do not like the RK wording on the front :s42::s25:

Or you can consider the RK68 too. ;)
Was waiting for u to come in and reply why u choose anne pro 2 instead of rk61 :s13:

Lol my rk84 also got the wordings. I used sandpaper and removed it within 5mins.

Swapped the switches to Akko CS matcha green as well..now looking at some tactile switches.

I also have a keycool kc84 coming from taobao. Only 52 SGD before shipping, has BT and stuff

looking at this thread and kenna poison liao, any pros can give some advice?

Currently I am using Anne Pro II and like the linear switches (using Gatereon Red) and PBT keycap texture.

Now I am looking to get GMMK Pro and have some questions:

1) Switches - Thinking of getting C³ Tangerine v2 Linear Switch , any better switches or recommendations?
2) Keycaps - ENJOYPBT Shadow ABS DOUBLESHOT . (personally i prefer the texture of PBT) . any other suggestions?

For the above budget is not a concern but availability is (don't like to wait too long)

do try out the gmmk pro in person before committing to it...:o
it does not have a gasket sound cos the poron pads are super thin

probably better off with the new keychron q1/q2

thanks for this suggestion! will look into keychron Q1 as well!

edit: could not decide between GMMK Pro and Keychron Q1 so I bought both.

Was thinking of this setup:

Setup 1: GMMK Pro with c3 tangerine switches (lube+film) / ENJOYPBT Shadow ABS DOUBLESHOT
Setup 2: Keychron Q1 with AKKO Neon Doubleshot PBT (to try out PBT) + any switches to recommend?

Was thinking Setup 1 will be quieter and Setup 2 to be abit more noisy/nicer to type

Received GMMK Pro and wow the stabilizers are CRAP (instead of GOAT). Backspace/Shift/Enter keys are mushy and takes time to get back up after pressing. Spacebar was the worst, press already stuck and cannot get back up.

Have to send to change stabilizers.

On the bright side, Keychron Q1 which I ordered has arrived in Singapore already, so hopefully can use that out of the box.

Based on my experience as someone who wants a 'customized' keyboard without going through the hassle of modding, tentatively I would avoid GMMK Pro and go for Keychron Q1.

Bought another 1800 layout keyboard, for my fiancee lol.
(or perhaps for myself, give her my wired 1800 layout keyboard and kope the new one instead)

S$68.00 before shipping using Ezbuy's EzShop.
Supposedly RMB289 for barebone kit, with 3x foam included.

Haven't bought any switches or keycaps yet. Considering to try Boba U4Ts, or maybe just go back to using budget Gateron Yellows.

Edited:
Or perhaps a fake/clone version of Holy Pandas (Feker Holy Pandas?) LOL.
Or maybe Durock T1? Hmmmm

My guess? Manufacturer applied too much lube to their stabs.

If your GMMK PRO's stabilizers feel unusually “mushy” or sluggish to return after being pressed, there may have been too much lube applied to the outside of the stabilizers. This is a QC defect from manufacturing we've identified on a small number of GMMK PRO boards. To resolve the issue we suggest disassembling your board, cleaning off the excess factory-applied lube, and removing the padding.

yep i read about it. i guess even glorious has put up a guide to "fix" this issue.
but i just wanted a ready to go "customized" keyboard, asking me to disassemble and mod is not reasonable.

hopefully keychron Q1 turns out fine... tried a few switches and decided to go for c3 tangerine (lube/film) for both keyboards.
