Thanks but no Razer or Logitech for me. I am using their K800 which is legendary but the past 10-15 years with them have been more misses than hits.

I am quite keen on Clear keys but not sure where I can test one.

Filco prices seems closer towards Type Heaven Topre. Any comments on that one?
my razer has few keys that are not longer working.. after ~4 years.

My soldering days are gone. So far I am very used to my Minila Air and am eyeing the convertible version for silent reds. Quite interested in trying other brands like Ducky One and Anne Pro 2 but unfortunately no bluetooth function. For Razer, I have given up on them. Too much driver headache over the years.
Bluetooth did not work reliably for me. I switched back to wired for a while before deciding to give the G915 TKL a shot. It's by no means the perfect keyboard for me, but for wireless option, this is the only one I'll consider since Lightspeed on my G304 has been great.

Gateron POM CJ switches are here!

RMB38.50 for 10 switches.

Initial comments, stock switches that are unlubed.

SUPPPER SMOOTH. Blows my Gateron Yellow out of the water. Can't wait to lube them and try.

You connect with USB dongle? I usually pair it up with my laptop so its quite reliable. USB dongles are hit and miss depending on the drivers.

You mean the G915 TKL? Yup, I'm using the Lightspeed dongle, seems quite stable so far.

I was using the Royal Kludge RK987 on Bluetooth previously, was not a very good experience due to intermittent connectivity issues. Tbh I have no idea if it was the keyboard or my work laptop, but Lightspeed works fine so I'm gonna stick to my G915 TKL for now for wfh.

I'm still using my FILCO Majestouch 2 TKL (Cherry MX Silent Red) in the office.

Bought 90x Akko CS Ocean Blue switches ontop of my Gateron POM CJ switches.

Initial comments on Akko CS Ocean Blue swiches:
Quality control is not very good. But i guess it's kind of to be expected for the price? It cost approximately RMB1.00 per switch (excluding domestic and international shipping).

Some of the switches has leaf ping issues, while some others don't have the issue. For a tactile switch, you don't really want to lube the leaf of the switches, otherwise the tactility goes down. But if the switch has leaf ping issues, you either have to live with the leaf pinging sound, or lube the leaf and sacrifice tactility.

Edited:
Lubed 45 of them. 18 out of the 45 are fine, the rest all had bad leaf ping issues.

Eventually got the Olivia Clones (claimed ABS, how to check?) for my Keychron Q1.

The texture feels better than stock Keychron's caps, but typing sound kind of become more treble with a higher pitch, and even less thocc than stock keychron caps, which is unfortunate....

Anyone knows how to increase flex for the Q1 and sound thocc? What I've done so far:

1) Force break mod
2) Removed second foam layer at the back
3) Added more gasket strips
4) Added PE foam 3 layer folded and placed below Z row.

Anyone got hold of the Keychron Q2 yet?

Really tempted to try it after seeing quite a few reviews..

Saw some videos and it sounds like my Filco browns with 4mm o-rings. Too bad it comes with only wired.
I saw that even with some simple mods of masking tape and thicker foam could result in a decently acceptable 'thocks' already

quite tempted to pull the trigger on it..

what is this SMD 5pin? it's like for RGB color.. is it still hotswap..
if the board has both 3 and 5 pin means need to take out or what ah?

description from seller ( Gateron )
- Only the "Clear Top Pro" switches are compatible with SMD LED (i.e. Support for flush and certain protruding SMD LEDs) - If your keyboard only support 3 pin configurations and you would like to use a 5 pin switch, you may cut off the 2 extra plastic pins with a pair of cutters.

sounds like 5 pin = pcb mount switches. the 2 extra plastic 'pins' are to help align the switch properly in the absence of a plate. you can buy pcb mount switches and snip them off to use in a keyboard that has a switch plate.

Not familiar with new kits nowadays. Based on description, likely the kit has a plate, but the pcb can also support pcb mounted switches. Means you can either buy 3 pin or 5 pin switches for that kit.

Probably common in most kits nowadays. Was more of a problem in the past where some pcb designs did not add in the holes for pcb mount switches because the kit comes with a plate.
