Actually, most switches are okay one, the only one to avoid are vanilla outemu switches, especially if you are fast typer..
Yea...

Also those very expensive switches vs a cheap gateron or cherry mx switch..the price increase totally not in sync with the value it provides.. guess its a hobbyist thing.

Cherry MX is considered cheap? It's about S$2 each IIRC (from a reputable shop)

actually cherry is like an entry-level switch.

like when first using a mechanical keyboard then pick that one.

durability wise definitely wont go wrong, but performance-wise there r better

i use cherry mx and gateron.

find that gateron seems smoother.

to me these are all enough already for a good keyboard experience...those really spend much much more I guess are the enthusiast level.

I use cheap feker panda 😆 but they feels much better than mx cherry and gateron browns that i have my other 2 keyboard. Mix with Boba gum on keys that I bottom out and hold often such as shift, alt and ctrl.

Akko switches seem really affordable with good reviews, might try them out for next build.

Cherries are actually good enough for stock but since their patent expired, the market is open for all sorts of keys, colours, and flavors. Gateron seems a "better" version of cherry but this is subjective. Cherries are still made in Germany and can be quite squeaky for some.

Can try boba keys like https://www.theremingoat.com/blog/boba-u4-switch-review.

For linear, you can try Tangerines. https://landingpad.shop/products/c3-tangerine-switch

Although not that much, you can actually feel 5g when you type. Heavier keys can be used for some keys like enter, shift, spacebar, etc

Looking for a full sized keyboard with around 100 dollar budget. To replace my current cooler master keyboard, cause spill kopi on it :(

Prefer tactic switch.

Any recommendations?

Used to use Leopold blue at work but after a while the noise gets to me, changed to a Ducky brown

Recently I’ve gotten a AKKO ACR 75 Pro set with Crystal switches. It’s linear but there’s a certain element of tactility. Quite quiet too!

Just got my glorious gmmk 2 barebone KB. Fitted in milky yellow switches. Overall the KB build quality is so much better than the anne pro 2. It felt more solid and the rgb lighting is so much better.

Hoot from Comex yesterday. Lynx switches. Was deciding between Lynx linear or Moyu Black tactile but in the end went for the lynx. it came factory lubed but i will re-lube and film them later.

Behind are milky yellow and tangerine 62.

My keychron k2 is coming on to about 2 years but recently started having weird battery issues. Have been exclusively using it in bluetooth mode and per full charge used to last me about 1.5 to 2 weeks. Since about a week ago, the keyboard would only charge for about 10-15 mins and green led lights up showing fully charged. However, i can only get about 2 days usage before the battery gets fully drained. Tried resetting the keyboard but same issue persists. Now debating whether to open up the keyboard and see if a battery replacement is possible, use it in cable mode only or dump it and get a new one.

Edit: Ok i did some reading in the keychron reddit threads and there are quite a few complaints of battery dying after around 2 years.....
