Buying a keyboard is nothing to do with the blings.

The more you have the more point of failures. Some reported led blown, if its one or two it is fine. If its a bunch then its fugly.

Filco is kinda boring Jane, but the PCB they fabricate inside it, the soldering, the implementations has been great so far. They are a Japan coy that does great keyboards, just that they are now made in Taiwan instead.

But then again, it is good implementations and has no software included. If you opened it up then you will know what is inside. Many don't appreciate it. Many just thinks that it is just a stupid keyboard that has nothing in it.

But many do not know that the lesser things you implement the lesser point of failures.

Apart from that, it doesn't need any form of software to run.

Heck, even their plastic housing is indeed tough, it is even much more tougher than any of their competitors out there using plastic.

Call Filco plain boring all you want, but it is the way how they design their keyboards, its how they build a keyboard to last, and how it felt like a tank when you carry it despite being plastic.

Those filco keys will fade after awhile or not?

Definitely will. ABS plastic does. There are other keyboards that offer PBT materials also. Keycaps can be found in Taobao and not forgetting it is cheap to find one.

There are many shops in simlim where you can get a hands on various mechanical KB. Spend some time just go down and have a feel.

Keyboards and switches are too personal to be honest and you cant just simply trust our recommendation, you need to feel it yourself to know.

ABS double shots also can prevent fading on keycaps I thought?

Depends wor. Double shots is just preventive measures to make sure it doesnt fade that fast. It will still fade, but slower. However, if the users eat, drink while gaming, and have sweaty palms and oily fingers most of the time, it will be back to square one again lol.

Having owned about 5 ducky, they are indeed reliable. My take is that they are almost, if not as sturdy, as filco, which is a very amazing brand in general.

Thanks! Hope I didn't make a mistake of purchasing reds over brown.

hahah its 4 years! thanks for pointing out... if 4 hours is really :eek::s22:

Thankfully :s13::s13:

Went down to XS on sat, asked on the prices but no discount at all. The sales guys mentioned that Ducky are all fix prices. Went home to think about it and saw that Lazada is selling at $129 from XS too, with $12 coupon = $117 :D
