Buying a keyboard is nothing to do with the blings.
The more you have the more point of failures. Some reported led blown, if its one or two it is fine. If its a bunch then its fugly.
Filco is kinda boring Jane, but the PCB they fabricate inside it, the soldering, the implementations has been great so far. They are a Japan coy that does great keyboards, just that they are now made in Taiwan instead.
But then again, it is good implementations and has no software included. If you opened it up then you will know what is inside. Many don't appreciate it. Many just thinks that it is just a stupid keyboard that has nothing in it.
But many do not know that the lesser things you implement the lesser point of failures.
Apart from that, it doesn't need any form of software to run.
Heck, even their plastic housing is indeed tough, it is even much more tougher than any of their competitors out there using plastic.
Call Filco plain boring all you want, but it is the way how they design their keyboards, its how they build a keyboard to last, and how it felt like a tank when you carry it despite being plastic.
