For those who ordered Keychron K6, do you have the tendency to accidentally hit the lighting key on the top right corner when u hit the delete key?

Using K2 for 1 year plus, got K6 recently. K6 keycaps have some sorta 'soft touch' texture. Never used filco/ducky, can't compare. Previously had wired mechs with metal plates (Tesoro, rosewill), but honestly can't tell any diff in 'sturdiness'.

Recently been having some issue with K2 repeating/stuck key.

looks legit but the one with most reviews is a china supplier. another 2 is local suppliers.

pretty cheap for a mech kb, can fight likes of tecware.

another model GK400F any difference?

I’m looking for Ducky One 2 horizon full keyboard but it’s not available at Xtreme solution! Seem like that’s the cheapest option as they are the sole distributor in SG

Anybody here who thinks Gateron are the best? Seems that Gaterons are favoured over Cherrys nowadays. I bought a Cherry/Gateron/Kailh/Otemu switch tester to try but I have to say Kailh feels the best.

I still remember when I first got into mech kbs and Razer/Corsair/gaming brand were the only easily available choices. The gamer community was criticizing Razer for switching to made in china switches.

But now I feel Kailh have the best switches. Cherry Red is still ok but Cherry Blues and Browns feel less good than good quality Made in China versions.

Repeating keys due to dust? Maybe can take out the keys to clean?

Early Gaterons were inferior to Cherry. Now, probably better. Kailh's tolerances has improved a lot. I was in the hobby when Filco, Das, and Ducky were the popular choices, and recently got back in briefly. There's so much variety now (not even counting the franken-switches, just factory stuff and some boutique switches) that it's mostly a matter of preference. In comparison, Cherry definitely hasn't innovated much.

I have tried a few of the new switches, and I still prefer my old heavily tuned cherry ergo-clear board I built in 2012. Imo, there's still nothing quite as good as topre for off-the-shelf boards. Holy pandas (another heavily modded switch) comes close, but still no cigar. I built a board with them - it's nice, but overhyped.

Planning to get the Drop Alt as my first mechanical keyboard - attracted by the hot swappable switches and aluminium frame

They offer a choice of Halo True, Clear, Kaihua and Cherry switches.
Has anyone tried the Halo switches against the Cherry browns? Looking for a middle ground between the clicky and linear switches so these look like the best fit

clicky -> kalih

linear -> gateron

tactile... would rather neither, but if forced to choose, kalih.

From the sheer variety of keyboards on Taobao, I wouldn't recommend HP.

Ranking of budget brands seems to be something like Ajazz/Dareu/Rapoo<Hyeku<Gans/IKBC/Akko<Durgod (Durgod is already a mid-range brand IMO)

Akko will be somewhere lower than Gans/IKBC in terms of price performance but excel in licensed goods. The saying is that you buy Akko keycaps and they give you a keyboard for free.

Hyeku is worth mentioning because it is a Kailh home brand. Problem being that most of their boards are 108 key and with mono LED. But at a super good price. I actually bought of their boards from Cash Converters for $39 brand new. Longhua (Kailh) red switch with metal plate. Hard to find at this price point.
