Mine is also 40L digital heater but servicing cost me $130 including GST although it was nearly 1.5 years ago.

You double check with them the breakdown of $171 and if this amount is also inclusive of 9% GST too.
why servicing? spoilt?

Thanks for the suggestion, I believe the $171 is inclusive of 9% GST. Guess like everything else nowadays, they increase the price to $171
I think so too but it's good to double check with them just to ensure.
why servicing? spoilt?
Not spolit, it's a general servicing just like AC servicing since we are using the storage heater on daily basis.

Heard it was launch in Q4 2024. So trying to see if anyone here has already install it. =)
Maybe u can search online for the specs of kdk water heater and Panasonic water heater. I would not be surprised if they are virtually the same.

Rinnai★★★★★💪 Tank legend. Runs 10+ years, zero issues.
AOSmith★★★★☆🔋 Premium build. Efficient but pricier.
Joven★★★☆☆👍 Budget-friendly and okay for 4–6 years.
Ariston★★☆☆☆⚠️ Pretty but leaks fast. Forum horror stories.
707 / Champs★★☆☆☆🤷‍♂️ Mid-tier. Works, but not standout.

✅ Top pick: Rinnai — trusted by landlords, homeowners, and contractors for good reason.

🛠️ Pro Tips
  • Get your installation done by certified electricians/plumbers — don’t rely on cheap deals if they void your warranty.

i think most living in post-2010 HDB with concealed hot/cold piping, so using storage heater more appropriate
