So, i'll be building my own new rig over the next 2 weeks.
Was wondering anyone can recommend me a good headset to go with it.

My friend did recommend me Sennheiser. But i dont know which model to get.
Well, the top of the line are always best. But is there any with good price-quality ratio.

I'm using Cloud 1 and it's by far one of the better headsets I've owned and used. Or you can check out Creative's new H7/H5 which seem to be modelled after Kingston's.

Since it's for gaming, get one with a good 5.1/7.1 ... will give u good simulated surround environment when playing FPS. personally i'm skeptical of sennheiser in terms of 'gaming' headset as they are more well known for music rather than games.

I've seen the H5 demo set during the recent Comex, in terms of price:build quality, I think it's lacking as compared to HyperX Cloud.

PS: I did not test the sound of the headset though

oh yess. paisey typo. lazy to edit.

LOL... not sure if TS is looking for wireless. Anyway i also have G930 but flak like shiat after 1 year plus, so i switched to H2100 with cloth-like material instead. So far i like their 5.1/7.1 except the headset is a bit loose on the head considering my head is on the bigger side LOL..

For G930, separately i bought this from TB waiting for it to ship and breathe new life into it.

Uh. Im actually looking for wired.
When i think of wireless, i would just think it as heavier cos of batteries, which i dont like.

I also had a look at your suggestions and the sennheiser models.
For me, i can only compare the aesthetics so far. Havent had time to go try them.

Any chance any one can suggest smth as sleek as sennheiser's? Cos u guys were saying sennheiser's might not be the best for gaming.

And best if its black and red. A splash of white should be ok as well.

Thx in advance.

Did you even check out the HyperX Cloud II? It's available in your preferred color of Black/Red.

Also, Sennheiser headset doesn't look sleek imo. Perhaps you might want to post an image of the 'sleek' headset you're referring to.

A50 is like $500 or there and it's difficult to find one with Local warranty..
it's one of the most expensive headset in the market.

U wan surround or stereo ?

For headset I recommend getting something that
Can cover over ur ear
Not odd shape looking cushion pad
Cushion pad is not fabric or cotton - no idea wad material is dust magnet
Cushion pad can be easily found and replace. Cheap alt as original v costly
Audio not limit to usb output
