U wan surround or stereo ?

For headset I recommend getting something that
Can cover over ur ear
Not odd shape looking cushion pad
Cushion pad is not fabric or cotton - no idea wad material is dust magnet
Cushion pad can be easily found and replace. Cheap alt as original v costly
Audio not limit to usb output

Over ears can be uncomfortable for those wearing glasses and make your ears sweaty since it insulates the ears.

A50 is like $500 or there and it's difficult to find one with Local warranty..
it's one of the most expensive headset in the market.

I own the A40 with mix amp. The headset ear cups are cracking and I can't find replacement ones locally. Also, the mix amp rubberised matt finishing is all sticky and gluey due to the humidity. For that price, the quality is only meh. I'm now using other headset till I get the replacement cups from the U.S.

Did you even check out the HyperX Cloud II? It's available in your preferred color of Black/Red.

Also, Sennheiser headset doesn't look sleek imo. Perhaps you might want to post an image of the 'sleek' headset you're referring to.

yea! i did. but i dont really like the design, esp so for the mic.
sorry but thx for your recommendation. the price looks good tho.

and on the sennheiser side, im probably looking for smth like...
PC 320
PC 323D
U 320

price for the astro a50 seems kinda steep tho.

i read around and Astro is supposed to produce one of the best headset for gaming and this is reflected by the pricing.. For me it's beyond what i am comfortable as i find it priced a bit too high and the no-local warranty is worrying for me

That was what I thought so at first. I only think their Mixamp is good. Currently paired with AKG headset, so much better than the A40 sound wise. More transparent and more open. Meaning footsteps are more distinct in CS:GO. haha!
