May I have your comment and recommendation for PC parts for gaming/video watching please? Budget around $2k exclude monitor and OS.

All parts to sourced from Amazon Sg. As long as the invoice is less than S$400, it's not GST right?

Yes will kena GST for the 2 items. On the whole, will save some money as compared to buying from Sim Lim.

Taking a risk for the warranty as well as it may be international type.

Skip the 4x8gb 3000 RAM and get 2x8GB 3600 CL16 instead. You don't need 32GB, and the speed boost from 3600 is noticeable on Ryzen.

If you build it yourself, don't forget to switch on XMP

I do not know what resolution I should go for actually but I prefer minimum to be 1920 X 1080. Some games I played are Call of Duty, Diablo 3, Counter-strike. Prefer a set-up that can last 4 years at mid settings.

1920x1080 should be your target at that budget. Higher resolutions could require a better GPU

Has a pure AMD Ryzen system, the Radeon 5700 is not recommened, too much driver issues on my Win10 driving a 4k monitor. AMD slowly improving with the adrenalin software in the pass months...

Maybe, i'm a demanding early adoptor ...

I just read again, you want 27", the only reasonable resolution is 1440p because 1080p is just damn ugly at that size.

Lastly, your current setup should have exceeded 2k.

Price difference from oversea is basically no difference. You give up local warranty on mb for oversea mb for zero cost saving, not worth it. Just get locally.
Also important to note that the performance difference against Ryzen 5 3600 is minimum at 1440p. At best you gain 8% difference for some games but majority of the games you won't see a difference. You can cut down this to 3600 to open some budget for your extra hdd.

CPU Cooler: CM Hyper 212x @ Dynacore - $51

Thermal Paste: GD900 @ Aliexpress - $5
Cheap and perform same as MX-4. I am unsure of its longevity, might need to replace it every year but it is dirt cheap.

Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series F4-3600C16D-16GVKC 2*8gb 3600mhz CL16 @ Newegg - $147
Nowadays, 12gb ram is all you need for optimal gaming so 16gb is more than enough. Ram speed matters for AMD Ryzen and 3600mhz CL16 is considered the sweet price performance spot.

PSU: Cosair RM 650w @ TradePac - $135
Full modular Gold rated. Make sure it is the 10 years warranty version, there might be still 5 years warranty version in market. Pretty much the most value for money psu on market now. Same as mb, oversea psu cost saving isn't much, only a few dollar difference and you lose local warranty support.

Nvme SSD: Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB @ TradePac - $243
You missed that period which cheap SSD nvme was abundance. Now all the price go up and thus, it is cheaper by a few dollar to get locally and has local warranty support.

GPU: PowerColor Red Devil RX 5700 XT @ Dynacore - $675
Oversea gpu saving is only like $10ish? You give up local warranty for 10ish saving, not worth it. Again, you already missed that period where cheap components were abundance.

Casing: Personal preference but recommend looking for a spacious good airflow.

All in all - $2000.
I don't see how you can squeeze a hdd without going across 2000. Don't forget you might also need buy one extra case fan.

You can stick to the wraith prism cooler that comes with your 3700X. It's more than enough to cool your CPU even when you game. Then save up for a better HS like noctua.

Ignore the thermalpaste if you stick to wraith prism heatsink. Next time when you get a better heatsink, use the one provided.

Graphic card can buy Sapphire 5700XT which cost cheaper.

Saving done can get you another HDD.

I'be purchased computer parts on Amazon quite a number of times. My advise is if the savings is not significant, then you are better off buying locally. For example, the 5700 XT is probably going to be quite close in terms of price after factoring GST. So may not be worth it, but I leave it to your good judgement. Things like SSD can at times be significantly cheaper on Amazon, so will be better to buy it from Amazon.

I suggest comparing price first. RAM, I think Newegg is cheaper, but SSD wise, I feel Amazon tend to have better deals from time to time.
