Recommendation for portable Air Cooler ..

just feedback on the midea 9000btu single hose...
the meeting room is not big.. it took about more then 24hrs to cool the room down...
after turning it on for so long.. i turn on auto + 22deg to test.. it was running at 100% all the way..
noisy as hell... i dont think after my manager comes back she will be very happy about the noise...

I got a coolzy when my aircon broke down last time. It's not for cooling room, more for personal cooling. Imagine a fan but with cold air blowing. Effective range about 3 metres. Ya need to point the rear exhaust our of window or room door else the room will get hot. Personally I find it ok to temporary solution or if just want personal cooling.

ya its more like directed cooling not area cooling...

My neighbour bought airleo personal cooler at a roadshow for $200 plus.

But the fan spoil after a year, need to give it a push to get it running. I thought it's the starter capacitor which is easy enough to replace but it's actually the fan itself that needs replacing which is hard to do.

Which is a pity because if you spend $20 on some hoses from taobao you can turn it into a very cost effective portable aircon.

had intended to use it temporary.... end up been using it for the past year lmao

eh, saved me quite a bit of my monthly aircon bill lei

but after using it for a year liao, was wondering need to service or not har. other than the weekly cleaning of the filters
