Recommendation for Wireless Mechanical Keyboard

i was googling around and reading reddit, mostly recommend anne pro 2. there is also logitech g613 / g915 and keychron k2. looking for long battery last and comfortable.

Any recommendation??

im very interested in keychron style. but reading review the battery didnt last long like logitech 18 months? how is it day to day use? and by brown switches u meant gateron brown switches?

edit: also bluetooth connectivity have issue? and its inferior compared to wifi in G613/915

Keychron K6 user here
Bluetooth works perfectly well. i use it wireless mode only.
Switches smoothly with small lag (because of the connecting i suppose) between PC/Phone/Tablet.

Keychron only sold with gateron switches. Blue Brown and Red.

No complaints about the battery life so far. Never drained on me yet- i use it with RGB Lighting and Wireless mode only

Been using keychron k2 for 2 months and counting. Exclusively using in BT mode paired with external BT dongle n never encountered any connectivity issues. Battery life for me is crazy good as so far i only had to charge once every 3 weeks or so but YMMV depending on your usage patterns. One thing to note is that the K2 is quite elevated if you put up the kick stand so a wrist rest is recommended if you do prolong typing on the keyboard. Otherwise might want to consider the new k3 which is low profile design and currently on pre-order over at keychron's site.

Don't you guys find the keychron wake from sleep slow when on bluetooth? I had the k8 with optical switches. Annoyed me that the switches are proprietary and way too much stem wobble.

hmm i think its slow when the battery is low... other times its fine for me. fyi i use it daily for work pairing it to my work laptop.

i was unhappy about slow wake from sleep too. then realised that there is a way to stop it from going to sleep at all. After doing the below, i'm very happy.


The keyboard goes to Auto Sleep Mode in 10 mins of sitting idle to save battery.

Hold fn+S+O for 3 seconds to disable the Auto Sleep Mode.

(If you want to go back to the Auto Sleep Mode, press fn+S+O (for 3 seconds) again.)

yea. im trying to get rid of cables. thats why been hunting for wireless keyboard. reading review the connectivity and latency seems to be issue for gaming? most said end up using it with cable. is it really that significant?

My pc mobo dont have built in bluetooth so i using cheap china brand usb BT adapter aka dongle. I do some light gaming and most recently i did play CP2077. Personally i really don't feel any input lag at all. In fact i am also using bluetooth mouse(razer basilisk hyperspeed) and to put into perspective through numbers, RTings reviews tested the click latency of the razer mouse to be 12ms. I think only god gamers and fps pros can feel or mind the difference of latency in the milliseconds. But thats just for me so i can't speak for you. But what i would say is if you buy a wireless keyboard and end up using it in wired mode due to latency, then that totally defeats the purpose of having a wireless setup in the first place.

I dont game at the moment but dont feel significant latency.
Edited to add: when i was in buying phase i considered anne pro 2 as well but the reviews on the bluetooth implementation were a turn off.

I use an orico bluetooth dongle as my PC has no bluetooth

Key thing to note: keyboard is high, so wrist rest is a must.

I am left hader and though this isn't a ambidextrous mouse, the ergonomics are comfortable enough for me. I hate RGB and just nice this mouse simple design without all the RGB nonsense(i even use my keychron k2 with the RGB lights off).

As for battery, i am currently using AAA battery for some slight weight reduction(get cheap ~$1 AAA to AA battery converter case from china sellers on shopee). Rough gauge of battery life base on my usage pattern, for cheapo GP battery sold by those ABC/Valueshop, 1 battery last about 10 days. For Eveready battery, 1 battery last about 2 weeks plus. For Duracell, the one currently still inside my mouse has lasted about 3 weeks and counting. Again YMMV but Bluetooth mode has much longer rated battery life compared to dongle mode so i have not bothered to use in dongle mode at all.

If i have 1 complaint, its that the Razer Synapse software is absolutely utter garbage. I encountered quite a few times the program crashes or restart while running in the background. Also it will occasionally pop up low battery notification even though i know its not the case since i just changed battery only. Honestly, fantastic value mouse if you dont need the extra bells and whistles like RGB, adjustable weights, cable mode and what not.

Also to add on, i was a life long Logitech user prior to this but my last couple of logitech mouses both developed double clicking issues after about 2 years of use. I was initially reluctant of getting Razer products because they seem to have a rather poor reputation based on a certain portion of online reviewers. But the basilisks hyperspeed was at a palatable price point for me so i bit the proverbial bullet and at least until now, no regrets, and fingers crossed my user experience can maintain this way for the years to come *touch wood*.

Not impressed with Logitech. Tried them and didn't like the feel at all. Moreover, the claimed battery life for Logitech keyboards is not accurate, and highly inflated.

Keychron K8 lasts a long time imo. I don't really know how long it lasts, cos once in a while I'll just plug it in to charge together with my MX mouse - the mouse allegedly lasts months but in reality lasts weeks.

I use it with my laptop via Bluetooth as my laptop is mounted on a stand with an external monitor. Connection has never dropped out other than when it goes to sleep. My sister's Machenike Bluetooth keyboard is terrible. Black switches, but feels spongy and rather muddy - same slow wake once it goes to sleep. For bluetooth, Keychron anytime. If you prefer to use 2.4Ghz dongles then go with Logitech. I did not want to lose USB ports and so Bluetooth was a requirement for me.

Yeah quality of Logitech products really not quite what it used to be. I remember all those years ago i bought a logitech MX518 mouse + G11 keyboard combo for quite a tidy sum just for the purpose of playing WoW. This combo lasted me a good 6-7 years before i had to change them, but not because they had issues or spoilt, but because of all the dirt and grime accumulated down the years and alphabet on the keycaps all faded.
