I got a question now.

Assumed that I have never seen a 1440p aka 2K and 180 HZ before (Which is probably even true)

I chose to buy a Monitor that says it is 2K and 180 HZ. How do I test if it is really 2K 180 Hz?

Coz is a VA panel , normally they are cheaper than ips

Edited: But what if I try to get a 4K Monitor? What will you guys recommend? I was recommended a Gigabyte M28U for the 4K for $640 & Acer Nitro VG272U V3 27-Inch WQHD IPS Gaming Monitor for the 2K for $289

Firstly, set a budget for yourself. From "i have limited budget" and looking at $300+ monitor to a 4K $600+ monitor. Might as well close one eye and go straight to Oled? Best is for you to go down Funan or Sim Lim to take a look at the various monitor and decide for yourself.

not really, just that intel generally offers better multicore performance (useful for davinci resolve) for a similar price and enjoys a performance advantage in adobe apps like premiere pro and after effects. quicksync on intel igpu is also better supported. but thats not to say ryzen is unusable, i occassionally do video compilations on my quad core ryzen and its perfectly fine, and my gpu is doing most of the heavy lifting anyway.

no need to go up to 4k, 3k enough to get u very close to the best u can buy today. what monitor resolution(s) are u using?

oh i see. So basically either way is fine, but video editing, Intel is definitely a bit better.

I actually have no monitor yet XD I am literally starting with nothing. I was planning to look at what pc setup I roughly want, buy then look at what monitor I want to get. Probably either getting them from SLS or just go Courts.

I was originally a gaming laptop user but it broke down. (PS I did not went with a laptop cos I want to, it's cos I needed it for other things as well but not that I am free of that, time to go for PC)

Yeah I mean if it is very reasonable then i might up it. But definitely not paying 1K for a monitor

intel now has rough parity with amd in terms of multicore thanks to packing as many e cores as possible, though not all apps will be able to leverage this. adobe apps like premiere pro and after effects dont scale well with cores, so u see the i7s generally matching the ryzen 9s with strong p cores. for dvr, more cores help, so u see intel remaining competitive. however, all of the current gen cpus are quite close to one another, and the gpu is the primary factor of performance in dvr, so probably not worth to buy more than an i7 or ryzen 7.
