I don't know if there is a place to test it out, but I am using the older S2000, and I actually feel the bass is very good without a sub. First time I opened the box, I was also very shocked by the size. These are some massive bookshelf speakers. I am currently using them with my TV to replace my Yamaha sound bar, and despite the fact that they cost about 20% of the price of my Yamaha sound bar, they exceeded my expectation by a big margin.
Are you referring to S2000 pro which has a sub output or S2000mkiii?

Waiting for more guidance/reviews on S2000mkiii and S3000pro... If the bass is sufficient for something like Guns N Roses and The Eagles.. then I'm okay.. At most play games with huge explosions, I'll use headsets...

Ya 1k - 1.5k is within budget. Of cuz, cheaper the better.

Currently using a Swan M50W, working okay but just itching for an upgrade since I recently built a new rig lol. Z625 feels like a step backwards, and I chose M50W over promedia.

Wwenze highly recommended (not to me) Edifier S2000MKIII in the audio forum, but these are active speakers with no output to a Sub, so may not suit my purpose. I'm not very sure if S2000's bass is at least comparable to Swans M50W, if it is.. I may find it acceptable..

Any other options?

The speaker is nice, but I dislike the startup sound which is dang loud and startling. You can't disable nor adjust the volume. So after using trying it for a week, I sold it off at a loss. Went with an Edifier G2000 and never looked back. It is both compact, and sounds great. It makes the cheesy car start up sound when you first power it on, but the sound level is adjustable as compared the the Logitech Z407.

I agree is annoying when you power the speaker on everything.
However I feel it is useful since it ensure the speaker is working properly.
I sold mine off cuz I have weird left and right channel issue in the sense the left and right
channel will swap with each other.

Currently using Edifier 1280DB so far so good.

I haven't heard that leh.. and I don't know the brands very well..

But imo, isn't this the same price point as M50W? I kinda feel that apart from a few overpriced brands like audioengine as one of guys brought up.. similar price point = similar performance..

I'm still using my Altec Lansing 621 bought in 2003

Hi I'm still using this speaker too. My green cable (connecting from PC to subwoofer) is a little cranky.

Im thinking of replacing this cable. do you know if I can just replace this with a standard 3.55mm stereo audio cable ?

Sorry to reply you here as i cannot PM you. Thank so much in advance!

If you have the table real estate try a Klipsch Cinema 400 or you can wall hang behind your Monitor. If budget permits, go for the Klipsch The Fives.

Just got the T60.

Really used up all the ports behind. Haha. It will use up one USB-C connection though.

I find that it is probably between T20 and T100 in terms of quality.
One thing I don't like is that the sound seemed to be very narrow. If you put on table top, I think can miss your ears a little. I tend to point them to the side of the room and let the sound bounces off the walls.

But the functionality of easy switching for speakers / Headphone is a charm (If you require this).
And also the 1 button clear speech is also very very good. I use it to watch those movies where you always cannot hear what the people are saying clearly one. Then just switch it off when I am listen to music.

Plan to use as YouTube speakers n Viu etc watch movies n for music

which one will b better in term of sound quality? Do we also look at power of the speakers or it’s only useful when it comes to volume?
T40 lowest power of them all but from look n build seem nicest even though it v v v old model

If you pefer pure audiophile quality audio output like me, get the T40 series 2, it's slighty more powerful than the T60,
good enough if you sit in front of your desktop and in tern of value, it's initially priced at s#249 but avaliable at a promotion price of s$129. See here > Creative T40 deries II

oh ya.. one thing to note, these creative speakers' sampling rate is always 16 bit / 48KHz only.

if into audio quality maybe get something at least 24 bit, ish kind of sad they cut cost on this aspect.

This one for T60
Thank you for contacting Creative Labs.

With regard to your enquiry, please be advised that the Creative T60 audio sampling rate default is 16bit/48KHz.

For the USB, anyway. You can always use analog if you think it matters.
