Recommended Polo T-Shirts

Guys,

Just want to check whether which are the better brands to get the Polo T-Shirts for casual usage.

Brands like Polo, Fred Perry or Burberry.

Thanks for your recommendation. Any other polo t-shirts which are good even though it is expensive? I heard about the polo t-shirts from Polo which is not very lasting and good.

if price is not a factor, any brands also got polo tee. thom browne, alexander mcqueen, balenciaga, prada, dior homme, LV gucci Hermes and even bottega with the signature butterfly logo.

good or not? most are made in italy and fabric use definitely better than a uniqlo one but to some the difference is negligible.

I always feel that for one who wants to broaden horizon abt the labels, designers and brands, just go online shops like mr porter, matchesfashion and luisaviaroma and you will realise there is an entire new universe out there

mr porter has very detailed measurements on clothings. even if u dun buy online (cheaper than local, and on off got discount code if you are regular), u can see what are the brands labels and design out there and hit the local stores after u spotted anything nice.

All bought in 2008, all still in existence in my household
No special handling:
Burberry - Bought at their factory outlet for GBP30 (SGD90 then). It's still very white! My dad wears it frequently. It's quite soft and has good shape. Abit stiffer and thicker than Jim Thompson.
Fred Perry - Quite good but quite ex in sg. Fine cotton with some stretch. Quite thin.

Handwash + Dry Flat
Polo - 100% Cashmere bought for GBP70 (SGD210 then) - wore this frequently in 2010 because I was overseas and washed it like once a month. It still fits very well despite me not drycleaning it. It still fits very well!
Have not bought their normal polos yet because too many people wearing :x

Other brands -
I just got my dad a Jim Thompson from BKK - it's very nice and fine! Smoother and finer than burberry though. Very understated luxury- I think at SGD80 (at the bkk airport), this is quite worth it, and feels more luxurious than the other 3 brands above....

as for waste of money - I think it's better than Giordano/ Baleno/Zara.. who don't fit nicely and can cause abrasions in the most awkward places...

disclaimer: le bf's job dresscode is polo shirts, so i frequently buy for him. i don't usually spend more than SGD40/shirt, and i usually get them from jcrew/AE/AX/BR/bkk. i get a kick out of buying branded stuff online at (near)heartland prices.. not from spending on high end stuff.

go taka and try before you buy! most of their sizing is quite standard.

Definitely got different.

Im extremely particular of cotton person due to that i cant stand the heatness even when im 8 years old.

Then slowly i go and learn about these.

If you wash your clothing, you will even notice the great different.

I have try 1 pc hugo boss about i think 8 years ago (but i never buy)..it is extremely cooling.

But i cant find that model anymore sadly when i can afford.

haha gotta agree with u. ever since i found mrporter thru urban newspaper article and ASOS from a friend. I check them nearly everyday to see what kind of fashion and shoes are nice. even though i havent buy anything yet. but always good to know whats out there in the market.

the only burberry worth buying is under the prorsum collection. fred perry, i would advise u to uniqlo instead and save the change.

i assume u looking for something with logo where it is recognisable for the $ u paid?

If buy RL polo tee can go to DFS scott level they have less 30%-50%, their price quite reasonable and almost quite same price if u order from RL store.
RL polo kid size up to 20 can fit adult medium

cheaper ones like muji or uniqlo. Else go for RL or Burberry or what. No matter what brands they are, it will still wear and color tend to fade overtime. Wear whats most comfortable and nicest fitting to you.

I like burberry. My favorite for polo. Second would be RL.

But anyway, I haven't wore my white BB for quite a long time. Looks yellowish. Had to bring it to those laundry shop. Now sparkling white
