if ur current unit wants to keep u, u also LLST

would they really want me though? Since I haven't actually gone for a course and they're making me sign the form to hand the stores to someone else. (the takeover one)

I really do not want to go back to it permitting my knee holds up. I don't mind if I go to somewhere siong i think people call it? I want my 2 years here to be something I can look back on and say it was tough but worth it.

That would be nice if they said that. Get someone who actually wants to have a slack office job because I'm not one of them, call me weird or whatever but spending my 2 years here doing a desk job is not something I will have any pride in going back to the UK and people ask me what I did.

I'm back in the UK after these 2 years. going to go to uni.

So you only want to hear, what you want to hear? That's what you think and want. But what you think and want may not be convenient for them and they rather just keep you there and you got no choice. so be prepared.

I know there's a chance they might keep me. Just I'm hoping they don't.

But as I was saying earlier its not weird that I'm suddenly enhanced batch? I mean I passed my IPPT before I got injured in my first BMT and had to OOT but IPPT is different from Napfa right?

Hi malevolent, it's quite sad that you had to listen to so much of from what reddevil says that is just so general and beating around the bush. He also didn't even directly clarify your queries and instead brought you through questions upon questions without even answering your main query.

It's quite obvious he knows nothing about army and it does not take a person to even serve the army to know all that general stuffs. If he knows he would have stated some advices based on his 2 years in army/navy/air force.
It doesn't take more effort to share his experiences and give CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS then to go around suspecting other people's intention in their post.

Hence I would appreciate that you ignore all his comments pertaining to this post of mine and I ain't going to reply to him either. Below is my comments.

Firstly, February is the JC enhanced batch. (I am pretty sure reddevil didn't share this as he probably knows nut about army)

Secondly, Yes, it is possible that they send you back for recourse at the earliest possible batch since there is a limit to your NSF term. It does not matter that you are together with JC or poly batch, they are just pushing for you to complete BMT asap. (I am sure reddevil didn't and won't share this)

Ahhh I see so they just want me back in BMT no matter whether its enhanced or PTP. Does that rushing mean the chance for command school is gone for me?

Also will I struggle in a enhanced batch like whats the difference besides no 9 weeks extra I think of PT?

Thanks :)

Nope. I don't see why is it weird.

I believe the purpose of differentiating between enhanced and PTP for pre enlistee is because before they enlistee, they have no obligations to keep fit and what not, so for people that didn't get at least silver for NAPFA, they would want to "help" them by putting them thru the paces so that they can cope with the rigour of BMT when it starts proper.

Whole fore recourse, "usually" the main purpose is just so that people who haven't completed it just go complete it. So maybe they dun see the need for ppl who are recourse to be so physically fit as they just expect them to go back to their previous unit after BMT. Another possible reason is because you you've already have a period of down time for your service in the military, and they dun want to waste anymore time so just send you straight for the recourse of BMT proper.

NAPFA and IPPT main diff is NAPFA got sit and reach, IPPT don't

WOW, Didn't know anybody is so qualified (when qualified I mean someone who is dealing directly with TS case in his official capacity) to give SPECIFIC answer. So are you the SAID person?

I think you have a very narrow view of what constitute advises. Don't see it necessary for you to bring in your anger here just because you are not happy with what I said in other thread when I am just claiming you can't be sure your advise is true for EVERYBODY.

Anyway CSB.
iPrepNS | Enlistment schedule
Enlistment schedule says it here. May I know why does it matter whether it's JC or POLY or whatever "education" batch? What matters is just whether it's PTP/ENHANCED PES A/B1 BMT ain't it???? Also he also said it himself he know what batch it is and that's not his question anyway. I am pretty sure you know nuts about what you are saying yourself.

I don't think you are even answering his question. He's asking abt PTP/ENHANCED batch and not about JC/POLY! You just totally proved what i said right...

Yes, they will rush to send you back to BMT as long as you have indicated your desire to complete BMT and/or go to command school.

PTP and enhanced difference is that: PTP (extra 8 weeks; total of 17 weeks) prepares you physically through gradual physical training and gives more time allowance hence slack given for army based training.

Enhanced batch basically have to be compacted in the short 9 weeks , so yes, it will be more rushed to complete the exact same syllabus PTP goes through.

You mentioned that you have gone through PTP BMT once. What is the extend which you have went through - as in how many weeks?

I believe if you ignore the "fact" that your previous unit have a big say over whether they want you back after your BMT or not, I don't think rushing will compromise your chance. But of course they are not giving you the luxury of going it slow in terms of your physical fitness so you probably have to help yourself in that area.

PTP they are progressive in their physical training lor. Enhanced is more of hit the ground running kind of progressive.

Actually went through the Physical training side right up until the start of the BMT phase. Got posted out when it was the range.

Yeah that part I'm just going to not focus on and just try do my best and see what happens. A good sign though that they're taking away and destroying my camp pass and having done the takeover forms but who knows could still bring me back.

Hoping my knee holds up. Been working pretty hard to try get into shape, was expecting to go at a later batch like March or April perhaps but I mean February is good in the sense that I might have a higher chance of SCS because I'll still have a lot of time if I POP to do the course and that.

Who knows, maybe that's just a formality and doesn't count much?

I believed that you should have went through some basic forms of army training during PTP phase. So I believe you are already advantaged in terms of experience and the lack of time does not necessarily disadvantaged you in any way.

You just have to perform for your IPPT, sit test and display some form of leadership abilities, I am sure you would be considered for command school at the end of the day.

Yeah went through a bit. Never got to do any of ranged though. Will everyone be like gold and silver in enhanced or will there be a few who might have regressed a bit whilst they had the 2 months off kind of thing?

About half will get gold or silver for enhanced batch.

Yes, there are a few who are persistently unable to pass IPPT, but that percentage compared to PTP is comparably lower.

Anyway as to whether your unit can take you back depends on whose strength you are under. If you are still under your unit strength, they yes, then can take you back regardless. If they have already confirmed and posted you to BMT, and your strength is likely or is already under BMTC, then your unit has no say in taking you back.

TS I know Successor. most likely can't see what I typed. But unless he got statistical black and white proof, that is a sweeping statement of his to just claim "About half will get gold or silver for enhanced batch."
