How the sizing of iron ranger vs moc toe? I think should be either same or IR narrower right? (Needing either wider or up 1/2 size compared to moc toe )

to me the moc toe is slightly wider with a little more room in width but in length they are about same.
Personally i find red wing run bigger in 1 full size than running shoe.
and my foot is width 2E but i got no problem fitting in a red wing D width. for width it give me a slightly snug fit but will loose after sometime of wearing.
some people like to up 1/2 size for a wider width but i the length will be too long for me but again shoe fitting is very subjective and individual. different person like different fit.

I see.

Currently I have a 8.5D moc toe which is 1/2 size down from my running shoes, accurate fit.

I guess for IR I need to get either 9D or 8.5E.

Spoke to Han on Mon.

He mentioned that the different leather on RW boots might have an impact on the sizing.

For soft leathers, U can wear them 0.5 size down.

For hard leathers, U should wear them 0.5 size up.

EG, Oxblood IR size 11D or Amber Harness size 11.5D for the same guy. :D:s13:

Of coz it applies differently to everyone. The basic idea is that the soft leather is more flexible and the fit is more tight.

What is the price range of red wing shoes...I don't want to get "stunned" in store after knowing the price.

I never order anything that requires a forwarder before i'll go read how it works.

Anyway if it is my first pair and the shoes is that good can last for years then I think 400+ from local store is still ok amount. Just plan to be my daily wear to work with jeans since i'm currently wearing saf new balance...

Boots can last long time but soles on other hand really depends on your wear. Upper can last long you need resole

Has anyone replaced their white crepe soles with soles from ranges like iron rangers before? Would it be too much if i paid £99 to fully restitch my outsole and midsoles with the iron ranger type of sole instead of my current white crepe soles? Tyvm in advance

hi guys, just side track a bit.. is there any recommended cobbler near north side? Would like to do some maintenance on my boot and change the crepe sole.
PS: it's not a redwing shoe but hope to have some recommendation from you guys.
