Yours is old leather or gortex. If it's the former I think it's confirm very comfortable de leh. Change the insole for a few dollars at emart, it's ready even for 24km route march le. Just that I find wearing it very mafan to remove when entering places where footwear not allowed.
To be very fair, even my most seasoned pair 8165, after wearing on off for 7 years I also won't say it's super comfy for long distance walking. I gave up on my 8165 and 875 le, wearing 8106 more nowadays because imo it's more versatile...

The Gortex one...I have some knee injury and also wide feet so boots are really bad for walking around during vacation

Need help....Which type suitable for sg weather? Is boots too hot for sg?

Really to each acceptance level. For me, its just another 2 inch above ankle, its not that much to give that extra warmth lor. Getting a pair of leather boots is more like owning it for long or lifetime if you can maintain it well. My 8165 is into 7years le. I barely take care of it much, thus the conditions not as well, but still it has many years to go. I know of some wearing their for more than 2 decades le still going good.

Recently I bought some low cut sports socks from Uniqlo. They are perfect to wear with low boots like 8106. They are really thick and comfortable, best combination so far. Too bad they don't have them in higher cut so I can't wear them with the 6 inches.

anyone knows if they would be cheaper in thailand?
7 years ago I bought 875 in HK, it's cheaper by SGD 100++, but last year I was there again and pricing is pretty much same as Singapore already. Came back from Taipei this week, and the pricing there is similar too. I have the feeling they may have agreed and standardised the price across Asia... Excluding Japan.

I saw a long wallet at OGW shop. It's on sale at $180+. It's very tempting, but I eventually turned away because it seems like the leather isn't from Red Wing own brand de, though the wallet does carry Red Wing brand with a logo. But else it's definitely very good price for a long wallet made with good leather.

Was at Osaka branch last night. Selection not great. Singapore have better selection. Price not sure since nothing interesting, did not bother.
