One of the artisan exchange sale personnel had these zips on his moc toe. Looks practical and matching with leather material and a big black zip at the lace centre. He quoted this price and i feel like ordering from him.

i only remember seeing such mods back during my army days where my fren mod his goretex with zipper...

its like the first few weeks of tekong. new boots, harder than the helmet. but after some wearing and seasoning it will be more comfy than your sneakers

james, try mink oil it 2 times and tie ur boots very very tight so that the boots will not move up and down that causes abrasion with ur ankle... and by tying it tightly your boots will take up ur feet's shape, which will fit your feet better as times goes by...

I wore mine today (2nd time wearing, minked 2x), no pain at all!! compared with my 1st wear(mink 1x) which i got blister all over my heels area

I suspect it is because the leather was hard and couldnt really tie my boots until SUPER tight so i went and mink it again.. which somehow works

Hope my exp wif my new 8131 helps

managed to wear my pair of 8165 as daily work shoes, now season in le.
but 875 not fitting for work, so i guess i am going to have a hard time breaking it...
