definitely definitely definitely definitely SUNTEC

in illuma i had to wait for like 15 minutes before i could try on a size and when i asked which size i shld get they just passed me whatever they had (maybe they were busy but still..)

on the other hand suntec has great service. they measured both my feet size and recommended to me the sizes to get.. very knowledgeable even for the temporary staffs. you can ask anything and they will have an answer for you. thats why im planning to purchase there when stocks arrive.

hope this helps

+ 1 for suntec i got 2 pairs bought from there ..... though in the space of 3-4 years service/knowledge still as good .... not pushy gives u time to decide as well

Cheers :)

For me: suntec. Haven't been to illuma store but when i tried calling them for enquires the staff was so unfriendly n like can't wait to put down the phone unlike suntec when i called them the girl was so helpful. So i head to suntec and got first pair of redwing! The uncle is very good, even asked me to think abt it first ,not pushy at all.will definitely get more rw there in future :)

moc toe is one of the classic designs red wing offers. the differences between all the different number codes is just the color. 8130,875,8131 etc etc.

Its funny so many of you take so much care over your boots. I know its a rather pricey piece of footwear but I've taken the least amount of care for mine.

I was thinking of just wearing them as it is day in day our so as to achieve the natural aged look before doing the mink-oil thing.

Anyone out there shares the same philosophy as me?

Coz, back then when I was in Japan, I saw loads of Old Skool red wings and people on streets "abusing" them and those RW's with that bit of scuffing and cracked leather with dirty soles looked amazing as part of the street wear fashion.

Maybe its just me but I've not seen a single dude deck them RW's with skinny jeans in Japan. Most were denim shorts or baggy shorts 3/4 pants.

I'm guessing fashion across borders still differ greatly huh?

what?! i torture them. :yawn::s13::s17:

3 months max but real wear not just leisurely walks.

very well worn in short 3mths :)
but have u changed the soles already? Coz they look very clean and hardly any corners worn out.

mine pair abt 5-6mths, the corners wearing out very soon, and the white areas are quite soiled by mud, rain and anything u name it =:p

not yet. but the traction thread are almost flat already and the heel is really uneven. the crepe soles are actually quite resistant to dirt and mud. just spray it with water and they are clean again. i bring two shoes with me all the time btw and this boots is unlucky enough to be worn everytime im riding my fix gear hence the scuffs on the leather. :s22:

btw, saw this mocs. makes me wanna break another wings but this time with more tlc. the creasing of the leather and the color gradient of the leather looks so good.
