still thinking of whether should i get clarks boots or red wings..

what do you experts suggest? I prefer those easy to take out (cos my job sometimes require me to go client's house and taking in and out of shoes is a considerable feature)

and also not make my feet like its in an oven...

To all whose asking about sizing on red wings , it's best to go down suntec's redwing shoe shop to measure your feet . Normally size one down is enough already , but for me special case, i went down 1.5 . The shop uncle "ben" that is attending to me is really nice chap, not pushy at all, shares alot of knowledge with me. I had spent the whole hour at there, had him taking shoes for me to swap to see which is the best for me. In the end, I bought a 2904 lineman instead of the classic 875. With that said, I recommend all first time buyers or wanting to try red wings to hop down to suntec and let the shop assistant(s) serve you with their outstanding customer service.

Have to agree with this. I wear US9 for my vans/converse but when I went to measure I was a 7.5.

Kinda shocked that I had to get such a small size. :/

@scribblemyname : it's at tower 3 #02-070 . Hope you find a pair that fits you !

@Miyakeee : Same, was shocked to know my feet was actually 7.5 on the measuring equipment !

Just to share what the uncle told me.
Be sure to tie your shoe laces tight , make the shoes fit snug on you and not loosely if not the shoes will turn out ill fitting ( i can't remember the proper term he used).
He also pin point on using all the eyelets on the shoe if not no point wearing the shoe as they will turn out bad in due time due to improper wearing.
Ill fitting shoes will cause long term problems. Google them for more info

definitely definitely definitely definitely SUNTEC

in illuma i had to wait for like 15 minutes before i could try on a size and when i asked which size i shld get they just passed me whatever they had (maybe they were busy but still..)

on the other hand suntec has great service. they measured both my feet size and recommended to me the sizes to get.. very knowledgeable even for the temporary staffs. you can ask anything and they will have an answer for you. thats why im planning to purchase there when stocks arrive.

hope this helps
does the shop in bugis do the measuring of feet professionally? cos the model i wanna get only avail in bugis..

No hot and unbearable for me at least. Can try looking thru ebay. Sometimes have gd bargains. Only few days ago, have lotsa stocks of factory seconds 875 going for USD$89.90 each. Factory rejects, cosmetic blemishes. If its really just cosmetic blemishes, then no harm. Red Wings are meant to be grinded. :D

No idea, but as long as when you try on, you walk around and its comfy then its all that matters ain't it? So many ppl say go down 1 size, but when I tried, it really feels so tight and my toes cramped against the shoes. So to each his own.

Need some advice here.
Planning to ask a friend to buy me a Red Wing 875.
I wear a Size 12.5 Nike, Size 12 Converse, Size 46 Euro Camper Shoe, Size 13 New Balance Running Shoe. I am still unsure of what shoe size I should buy. I did manage to try on a size 11E, which I manage to fit in but it was tight. Did not get a chance to try Size 12 (out of stock). Should I get a size 12EE or 13D. Does EE really look very big ? I should be able to fit in size EE as I have wide feet, I am more worried of length of the shoes.

Is it true that local red wing stores don't have 0.5 sizes. All sizes come in whole numbers?
