Kind of interested in the blueberry chukka. Intending to get it from cultizm.com. It stated free shipping if you spend 350 usd and above. Let's say if i spend above 400, will i get charged on taxes? Not really sure about it!

Need some advice from the experts here.

Here is a close-up photo of my GT sole. The 3-ply seemed to have split. It hasnt (yet, fingers crossed) been a problem yet but i noticed the split just recently

will it continue to split further and in the worst case scenario, the whole sole will come off?!

super glue is not a good solution.. once it dried up, it will start to lose its holding power.
you can try the shoe glue which is normally available at super glue rack at fairprice.

best is to bring to those shoe repair shop.

but i will observe it for the time being. dont wanna be gan chiong spider and end up spoiling it when its perfectly alright. lol

your beckman should be fine.

i have a black cherry myself, encountered the same thing.
it is somewhat the same with every other leather product, the glue dries up and hence splits, and......hence...there's a reason why items are stitched and not glued only, to ensure a "fail-safe" system, whereby the stitches hold the sole and the upper together.

anyway, u will notice the sole and the uper is stitched together. so it will not give way. that is unless u try to use a penknife to slit it.

btw, u need to clean the affected area of the shoe. as it seems to have dust collected (from the white speckles seen in the photo), which left untreated might lead to mildew and the nasty green stuff. which incidentally happened to mine. so just apply your leather care products liberally over those areas, especially the seams.

After doin some research on which website have the best price for red wing, read about Alden indy boots an alternate to red wing. Ended up purchasing the alden. Instead of saving, spend even more. Online shopping can be very addictive.

currently the split gap is still tiny and I will observe to see how it goes. any further splitting i will consider glueing it myself or send it to shukey.
