mikeeeey: May I ask what is the size of your 9013 and 875 are they the same? I'm thinking if I were to get a round toe beckman should I get a size similar to the moc toe.

By right I should get the same size for both.

Currently its 9013-Size 10, 875-size9.5

Reason being the 9013 wasn't avail in half sizes when i bought them. By right I should get it in 9.5 as well. cos i bought both in store and the staff measured my feet.

Hope this helps :)

Depends on where and how you use your boots. I was in Vegas for 2 months and the boots look so dry. The color become so old.

singapore weather is not that bad towards leather. ours is humid. drying up leather will be less frequent as compared to the cold countries. but frequent wearing and contact with water, dust and mud will be harmful to leather too. (of cos not devastating damage)

the rate of wear and tear also highly dependable on the frequency of wear. some wear 6-7 days a week like yours truly and its always subjected to dusty dirty conditions. some wear only on weekends due to formal wear during working weekdays. so the rate of wear is not as bad.

its true that some boots went for years without any treatment and look amazing still. but i once saw a before and after picture of the shoe being treated, wow. if you think the pre-treated looks gorgeous, the after-treated will make jeez in the pants.

I see.So by getting a half size bigger does it feel too loose?

Im a 8.5.Comfortable and fits nicely with some allowance.I've tried on a size 9 at local store as they don't have 1/2 size. More spacious in the front and probably because of round toe. I'm ok with that as I didnt want to hurt my feet and can put on thicker socks anytime.

But will like to know how it evolve after breaking in as I was told that it will mould to your feet in a way and after the leather softens it will be more comfortable wearing it without feeling too loose?

i wouldn't call it loose but it does feel more roomy as compared to size 9.5 on my 875. initially i still put insoles into the 9013 to "fill up the gap".

now i just do without the insoles and i felt more comfy with it anyway.

it will mould to your feet and the leather softening up after a period of wear. but the feel will not be like gaining an additional half size or what, just a more comfy wear with less rigid joints and such.

in conclusion, go with your actual size. and if you are torn in between 2 sizes, go for the larger size.

From the Red Wing Germany website:
"Sie sollten bei der Größenwahl nicht geizig sein. Wenn Sie zwischen 2 Größen stehen wählen Sie bitte die größere von beiden."

Using Google Transate:
"They should not be stingy with the size of choice. If you are between 2 sizes, please select the larger of the two."

Im about 1.74m. 3140, nice... was thinking of getting it previously. could be my next pair :o

Yes they are a nice pair, do consider! I am a 9E measured for my 875 and a US9.5 true size. What size would be better for me? I tried the US10 but it's so loose already before breaking it in. I think the US9(D) might be a bit tight at the sides at first, but if I break them in should be fine.

doesn't look like 875 nor 1907 to me...

thanks gurus!

if its TOO loose, either u fill up the space with an additional insole or go with the smaller size. Do consult the shop staff if you are unsure, I'm sure they can offer you more professional advice. :)

red wing 8138

woooo thanks alot...

its going for USD240 on amazon... and got my size US11.5-2E (i think the suntec stocks up to 10.5 only )

can't seem to find 875 US11.5-2E on Amazon... I think i'll search harder...

USD240 = SGD312
add shipping ~SGD40
total = SGD350-ish..

PS: I usually wear US12.0-M (aka US12.0-D) for doc martens, with relatively much space in front of my toes..
I think i can wear US11.5-D for red wing boots...
If I were to go 2E wide (my feet's rather wide), should i be going for US11.0-2E? Or should I go for US11.5-2E to play safe, and add in insoles if the shoe is abit too big? I recall the suntec shop stocks up to US10.5 only, so I cannot test or even buy from them...

thanks for all the experiences shared!

edit: bolded the decimals to help understanding

Hi

Has anyone bought red wing from Nordstrom? I'm looking at this

Red Wing 'Classic Moc' Boot | Nordstrom

A total noob in red wing shoe until i chanced upon this brand on various web sites and really keen to buy 1.

Can share if this is a reliable website to buy and also if this particular model is nice/worth buying for.

Many thanks!

Not too sure about the website, but this is the 1907 model that everyone has been talking about.
