i contacted them alr. thanks (;hi guys, i like to check with ya'll, how much is RW in hong kong? anyone here knows?
i paid 33sgd for shipping from cgw for rw 3141, total cost of my rw chukka is below 300. saved me 100+sgd. I got from shoebuy.com. However I had to make an overseas call to the customer service to verify my details due to my billing address (they tot is from china). Cost me 10sgd for tht call -.-
the customer service ask me call them but cannot go through Hi, need to ask if it's safe to buy RW boots from global.rakuten shops?
Those with a lot of ratings are safe?
Pls advise.
Tks!
Don't ever buy boots from rakuten. The conversion rate doesn't justify the shipping and other fees. Shipping itself is gonna cost a bomb when coming to boots.
Thanks to all bros' advices. Next question would be : are there any difference in prices between the local distributors? Cheaper to get from queensway, suntec, leftfoot or tuckshop?
Hello fellow Red Wing fans,
I recently had my 8138 resoled at Shukey Tampines 1 and would like to share my experience.
I paid $120 for a vibram sole with stitching. Workmanship looks fine at first but upon closer inspection I found out that the stitches actually went through many points in the leather around the toe area.
Naturally I was disappointed as this meant that the boots are no longer waterproof. The Shukey guy did not mention prior about stitching through the leather.
I would post photos but I do not have sufficient post count to do so. Maybe someone can help?
Has anyone here had their Red Wing boots done this way before?
Which vibram sole? The same crepe sole?
Yes crepe sole.
I think is because you asked for stitching instead of their usual glue the new sole to the old welt.
