Hey can anyone help me check if these are real. Planning to get these 2nd hand. But wanna confirm that they are real first.
A pair of good boots will last you a long time. So why don't spend that little bit more and buy it in peace from the authorised retailers? IMHO, its worth every penny paid, and I never regretted so.
Anyway, anybody here wore insole in their red wing? The sales personnel recommended me to wear insole if my feet is too small, my feet on the Red Wing measurement scale is US 6 (small feet *sigh) and the smallest size for iron ranger is US 7.
Would the insole really help?
You are right

Insole will help make it smaller. Though I don't enjoy insole as you won't be able to break the leather sole according to your feet which making the boots personal.
But having insole have a lot more benefits than without one, i believe you can Google that.
Yupp i am aware of the benefits but I am not sure if wearing insoles will bridge the size difference between 6 and 7.![]()

Looks exactly like the fac seconds that I got my dad. I have to say the side pic looks somehow weird. But overall seems legit to me. Trust me. I've got like 15-17 pairs. Lost count liao. Haha...
It helps. Get from emart. Works wonders and cheap.
Hi guys, the guys @ denim store recommended me mink oil to clean Iron Ranger Amber 8111. However, after searching online for ways to clean IR boots, I found out that the usage of mink oil is actually debatable.
Should I go ahead and clean the boots with mink oil?
Why not as long it does not contain petroleum and silicones. I would very much recommend the all natural leather conditioner/boot oil and not their mink oil since their mink oil contain silicones or petroleum iirc. MANY upmarket reputable conditioners contain mink oil like saphir renovateur for example.
Proper treated REAL mink oil does not rancid or damage your boots in long run, some people who did not want to use mink oil is because it soften your boots over time and for those people who wear safety boots you don't want it to be soft.
Mink oil is expensive and many product does not contain real mink oil but substitute.
And don't bother using Obenauf LP unless you intend to wear your boots for NS outfield. Other than the protection you does not require, this product have several downside you might want to consider first before using. I've used it twice I don't like how it does to the look because I buy these boots for visual appeal not go war with it.
:3 I already bought mink oil from RW OGW, dudes from both RW OGW and denimstore recommended RW mink oil. I was thinking if boot oil would be better. RW Mink oil contains silicone :O
Yeah I went ahead and applied the mink oil. However, I only applied a very thin layer. Should I apply a thicker layer next time?
