Hello guys, I would have a question about my pair of Red wing 875 I got today from Caliroots. I always thought that shop was legit, but maybe you guys can help me a bit.

The issue is, that on the right shoe on the picture the leather of the tongue is only half as thick as on the left shoe. And also the inside of the tongue is of completely different color, although the shoes are from the same batch. Is that some sort of production related error or are they not even legit?

Hope my problem is understandable, English is unfortunately not my native language.
Thanks

I cannot be too sure if there should be the Red Wing logo on the sole...
As I have worn my for a few years le, so not too sure if its worn out or what.

Are the size label on the tongue centralised for pair? From the picture, it seems a little aligned to the side. The label on my pair is centralised.

Other than this 2, i cannot spot anything else.

The logo is centralised on both. I also got another pair of Red Wings, and there the logo is also on th sole. What bothers me is the thickness of the leather on the tongue. The show tongue of the right shoe on the picture just feels very thin compared to the left one and the leather is also not that sturdy.

The best is pay a visit to the SA in Gateway and ask him.

But I think you are quite safe buying from Caliroots.

Resole of my 875 at Shukey

So I figured no one actually did a review on shukey resole process.

Where - Shukey Far East Plaza
Price - $95(Must pay when you drop off your boots)
Duration (Drop off Thursday night, Called me Saturday morning)

Photos : Before

Photos: After

Verdict:

Fast, reasonable price considering if you ship back to USA, need to pay $230. Work quality, not so good. My sides were filed off but they did repair my midsole for free.

My first resole since I got my 875 in 2011, this pair of shoes has gone a lot and thrashed badly but to date, it's my most comfortable pair ever!

Be sure to call Far East Shukey before you go down. They don't offer reservation service so make sure you call and ask for stock availability first.

It was mid 2014 when Amazon still had FSSG for Red Wing boots. Amazon no longer ships Red Wing products overseas.

*This pair is available for FSSG!
http://www.amazon.com/Red-Wing-Heri...=UTF8&qid=1422297450&sr=8-8&keywords=red+wing

No worries though, you can always send it to a freight forwarder, like Comgateway to send it to SG. So far, I've been paying $30 USD per pair via Borderlessbuy.

A note of caution though. The USD/SGD is at a 3 year high! Have to redo the calculations to see if it is worth it to buy from the US without sale.

A quick calculation.
1907 = $270 USD
Shipping to SG = $30 USD
Total = $300 USD
Convert to SGD = $300 * 1.38 = $414 SGD.
Savings = $458 - $414 = $44 SGD

You still save!

Oh how I miss the $1.25 rates last year :( Anything I want, don't even need to think twice, just hoot. Now, hard to pull the trigger.

Hi guys just curious. Do the chukkas come in "E" width? Can't seem to find them online.

I measured a 9.5E in the red wing shop. So will 10D fit the same?
