is this cheap? why does it say the size is true and you guys saying should always go try out in store or go 0.5-1 size lower??
I have personally tested this "advice". I have ALWAYS bought footwear (without trying them on, I don't like trying stuff) in only 1 size, be it sandles, slippers, sneakers, oxfords, running shoes, boots, etc. Whatever type of cut or shape, they fit me well.
But just out of curiosity, I decided to get a Beckman half size down from my normal size to test out the "advice". It was horrible! It was too tight!
I know that shoes are all made differently, but in my opinion, those who talk about downsizing, do not really know their "correct" size to begin with. It's like a snowball effect from their first "wrong sized" shoe.
As I mentioned before, the length of your foot won't decrease by half an inch if it sees that you are going to wear a downsized shoe. It is FIXED! So how is it logical to get a shoe that is half an inch shorter than the length of your foot?
Instead, I think you should be thinking about the different types of width instead. It is the width that varies between users. 2 people can have 10 inch feet, but one might be wider, and the other narrower.
