i weighed myself just now. 108kg. nothing amazing, but still on my way to my target. 99.9 kg by national day! the nation shall celebrate my weight loss with me.

Take care of both of them first. Be vigilant. Make sure she watches her intake particularly if you're going natural instead of formula. Subtle changes in diet affect our baby almost immediately. Go to a good PD.

today i didnt go exercise again. my wife is still feverish, although she is getting better. now its my turn to feel sickish :( i have a throat infection. doctor gave me some medicine already, but i think im making it worse since i have to talk a lot during work. i really hope both of us get better very quickly. more importantly, i fervently hope that my son will not be infected. that will be one looooooong protracted affair.

tomorrow if everything is ok i must go exercise. really feeling uncomfortable now.

time to update again!

i went to work out this morning. i was still running a slight fever (from my infected throat and not contagious), so i felt a little disjointed throughout. i even forgot to apply sunblock when i left home. the workout itself was ok. started on the smith machine and really struggled with my final set, then moved on to upright rows as the power rack was occupied. moved on next to front and side raises, and ended with 3 sets of back extensions and 3 sets of leg lifts. i decided to do back extensions and leg lifts every mon, wed and fri. just slow, relax reps that places minimal stress on my back.

after gym, i slowly cycled back home, ate my lunch and fell asleep. felt much better after i woke up from my nap.

today is the first time i tried the pollack fillet. my candid opinion is that it is rather tasteless. i did flavour it with salt and pepper and spices. its just that the meat itself has very little taste and texture. so my conclusion is that i wont buy it again after i finish the current batch. salmon tastes so much better, even though its more expensive.

i dont know if i will be working out tomorrow. i really hope the fever will subside by tonight. also, the antibiotics are making me laosai - the find a toilet immediately or poop in your pants kind of water sai. almost didnt make it in the afternoon. i give credit to weight lifting for successfully holding the tide back. flexed my butt cheeks desperately until i managed to wiggle to a toilet. close call man.

When u are sick esp when you're running a fever & taking antibiotics, u need to rest, not exercise. Reason is v simple: yr body's immunity is lowest at this time. Exercising may worsen yr condition.

I recalled an incident in the 80s when I was in my 20s. I had a pretty bad cough & cold & still worked out. The cough & cold developed into bronchitis & I was really sick for about 2 wks.

Learn from my mistake. Don't take chances with yr health: it's not worth it

FINALLY! i got to exercise today after a week of inaction.

it was a fine feeling going back to the gym. i started with the incline bench and worked my way up to 110 X 8 reps. i needed some nudging for the last rep. im trying to hit a minimum of 8 reps now, because of something i found out last week (i'll elaborate on that later). next was close grip bench, worked up to 80 x 8 reps, lat machine pull downs, which i again forgot to record the weights, dips 8 X 8, hanging knee raises 3 X 8 reps. all in all a wonderful workout, although for some reason i felt a little sleepy at the end. kinda strange.

i didnt go swimming today, partly because it was raining, mostly because i was tired. it might be due to the fact that i just recovered from my throat infection.

lunch was salmon steak and veggies, dinner was a jug of juice. my appetite still isnt completely back yet. the salmon i ate was bought from sskim, and i have to say that it tastes almost exactly the same as the ones my wife gets from the market. i will be getting salmon from them again, since its slightly cheaper.

last week, i posted on kakashixx's thread about how dom would indicate, in my opinion, a good workout. but vurtomatic pointed out that it was wrong. that came as a big surprise to me. somehow i never thought to question the stuff that i believed in since i started working out when i was 18. like many others, i lifted and stopped intermittently through the years, except i didnt learn new things.

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/h...akashixxs-skinny-fat-boy-log-=-3627101-2.html

so last week i seriously sat down and started surfing the net to find out what i missed, and there was a lot. im ashamed to admit, but i havent learned anything new for years now.

and hence i decided to implement a couple of changes starting this week.

1. i drank some protein with bcaa before i left home, and drank some again - with a teaspoon of creatine - after i worked out.

2. the minimum number of reps i do will be 8.

the drinking part is easy. however, after 6 reps, my mind automatically relaxes and my muscles become slack. i have to force myself to continue. eventually im sure i will get use to it.

later when i get home i will take some nekkid pics of myself so that you guys will sleep and dream of me. after a week of inactivity, im back to 108.7kg again :(

i had a good workout today. theres one thing i quickly realised: doing 8 reps instead of 6 DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

i know how retarded it sounds. lifting the same weights while squeezing out 2 more reps is super xiong. my muscles are aching like crazy, although this may also be due in part to my one week of inactivity.

nothing eventful about working out today. same old exercises, except i do a minimum of 8 reps instead of 6 now. the lactic acid (?) burn is really a killer.

i left the gym exhausted, and swam 6 rounds at a stately pace, simply because i could not move any faster.

my diet today is not good. lunch and dinner are the same, but about an hour ago i was starving with no healthful food in my office. in desperation, i went a few doors away to a bakery and bought a bah zhang. eating it was blissful, but now i feel regretful. i must stock up some good food here.

these are the pictures i took last night. it feels quite redundant to post pictures every week, as i cant see any difference at all. so i have decided make it a monthly affair and post pictures on the 1st of every month.
