I'm currently using Huawei P20 Pro and looking to switch to xiaomi since Huawei has slim chance of getting back Google in near future.... But I'm experiencing information overload from the xiaomi threads~ can anyone help me simplify the pros and cons, and what to look out for please? I'm not a very techy person so I'm quite confused by all the comments..

I'm considering between Note 10 Pro, F3 and X3 Pro. I don't really game heavily, so my priority is more of camera and battery life...

But I'm experiencing information overload from the xiaomi threads~ can anyone help me simplify the pros and cons, and what to look out for please? I'm not a very techy person so I'm quite confused by all the comments..

I'm considering between Note 10 Pro, F3 and X3 Pro. I don't really game heavily, so my priority is more of camera and battery life...

Note 10 Pro obvious choice (for better cam) If dont game on graphics intensive games
Just make sure to purchase local sets from official xiaomi or global xiaomi at shopee, or EIN local distro sets from any local shops for the warranty coverage

If need better processing chip or playing any highend games, topup abit for Poco F3 with one of the toprange SD870 chip (but sacrificing abit on poorer camera)

Yup as long as is official local sets they'll come with global rom i.e google system apps all preinstalled without issues.

For most common normal users, just stick to the global official ROM with OTA (over-the-air) updates and it should suffice. Dont have to dive into bootloader/replacing of ROMs etc as those are more for advanced tweakings

Any reason why you are looking for a Xiaomi phone?

My suggestion is actually for you to get Samsung A52 5G for your P20 Pro replacements

Xiaomi have diff kinds of rom, china, eu and global
Currently market selling eu and global rom
If u buy from big shops like challenger or courts, confirm is global rom
For shopee, the official shop is selling global rom but out of stock now

Main diff for eu and global rom is the playstore is not certified for eu rom as per 1 buyer mentioned here
If ur playstore is not certified, u cannot use google pay

The unlock bootloader we mentioned means installing other rom into the phone
For xiaomi phone, first step is to unlock bootloader
Since u are not into tech stuff, i wont explain much on this la
If not u will be more confused

Ohhh i nv really think about Samsung as I thought their price point are crazy now.. Let me check out A52! How does it compare to xiaomi phones? Actually I was looking at xiaomi because the specs seem decent and price is v acceptable
