REDMI NOTE 12 COULD BECOME THE MOST POWERFUL MID-RANGER

Today, a Weibo blogger revealed that two new Xiaomi phones with model numbers 22041216UC and 22041216C had obtained network access licenses. According to the tipster, these ought to be the Note 12 series handsets.

DIMENSITY 1300 OR DIMENSITY 8000?

In this regard, the forthcoming Redmi Note 12 will feature a MediaTek high-performance processor, not the Dimensity 8100. That’s why there is every reason to think that under the hood of this handset, we will find either the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 or the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 chips.

If so, it would be quite useful to get acquainted with the key parameters of these two. For instance, the Dimensity 1300 uses TSMC’s 6nm process node. The octa-core CPU contains 4 Cortex-A78 cores, of which 1 Cortex-A78 is a super core with a basic frequency of up to 3.0GHz. Apart from this, there are 4 Cortex A55 cores with a basic frequency of 2.0GHz. Lastly, this SoC integrates the ARM Mali-G77 MC9 graphics card.

As for the Dimensity 8000, it is assumed to be the reduced frequency version of the Dimensity 8100. It uses TSMC’s 5nm process and consists of four Cortex A78 large cores + four Cortex A55 small cores clocked at 2.85GHz.

Other than that, the Redmi Note 12 will come with a stylish look and a long battery life. These three are believed to be three highlights of the upcoming mid-ranger.

The machine is likely to debut around May so that to go on sale in June-July.

New leak reveals more Redmi Note 12 series details ahead of launch

As we revealed a while ago, the Redmi Note 12 series is on the way. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 11 lineup in China back in October, and is now set to follow the phones up with the Redmi Note 12 series. Word from China has now also provided further insight into the devices.

According to It's Fat, the Redmi Note 12 series will play host to three devices: the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. All three phones are said to be powered by MediaTek chipsets. The base model is tipped for a Dimensity 810; the Redmi Note 12 Pro a Dimensity 1300; and the range-topping Redmi Note 12 Pro+ a Dimensity 8000. Powerful chipsets across the board, particularly on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. From Dimensity 8100 tests, we can assume that the Dimensity 8000 offers performance slightly better than the Snapdragon 870.

While earlier rumors indicated that the Redmi Note 12 series could debut in China this month, the source seems to imply that this is no longer possible—a May launch appears to be planned instead. It should, of course, be clarified that the Chinese Redmi Note 12 phones are unlikely to share much with global models other than chassis and design—if the Redmi Note 11 series is anything to go by.

I think the camera will be lousy liao, all using macro, no more telephoto
My 10x pro should be the last redmi series with telephoto

This series will come with a MediaTek processor according to reports. This smartphone will use the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. This processor uses TSMC 6nm process and it is cheaper than the Snapdragon 778G+. Furthermore, this mid-range processor scores about 550,000 points on AnTuTu.

same as rmn11 series .... 4 model ..... 5g , pro 5g , pro plus 5g , pro extreme edition

these are china version ....... different from global version .... release date and price also different , cpu may be different

i did a search , dimensity 1080 is only a very small 0.1ghz speed boost to the 2 big cpu cores , plus other camera and other usage improvement , otherwise u can expect similar to last year's dimensity 920 in china redmi-note-11
dimensity 920 = 2x a78 @ 2.5ghz , 6x a55 @ 2.0ghz
dimensity 1080 = 2x a78 @ 2.6ghz , 6x a55 @ 2.0ghz

will be launched in china tomorrow

white
black
blue
pink with floral

pink only for the cheapest pro , the medium and high don't have pink

all 3 pro , pro+ , pro explorer are with same screen and cpu , 6.67" amoled with dimensity 1080

vanilla pro

still stuck at ufs 2.2 :frown: not ufs 3.1 of poco f3

12 layer graphite sheet cooling , :frown: no mention of heatpipe which poco have

touch refresh rate 240 hz .... not 360hz of poco

screen brightness 500/900 nits :frown:

1920hz pwm screen brightness modulation ... this technology i think they brought over from xiaomi flagship

have 3.5mm jack

187 gram (y)

overall the screen and cpu very similar to rmn11pro5g or poco x4 pro , battery and charger are same
most significant is camera upgrade

pro + and pro explorer have camera upgrade and vapor chamber cpu cooling , start from 8/256gb , charging become 120w 210w .... weight also shot up 10% ...
in my opinion not worth because the cpu is weak and memory stuck at ufs 2.2 ... overall still lose to poco f3

no... not the same sensor
12t pro using HP1
but Note 12 Pro+ using HPX ... this shld be lower end and cheaper because Motorola used the HP1 in their flagship

Haha for me... I will never wanna get caught using a phone with sparkles/glitter on their backs... how abt chiu?

I feel that the round circles which house the 2 main cam lenses should be bigger and the third smaller one should be smaller... I think that would keep it in line with the current phone design trend...
