Last month, Redmi debuted the Note 12 series smartphones in China. The series consists of the vanilla Redmi Note 12, the Redmi Note 12 Pro, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Earlier this month, the Note 12 Pro+ 5G global variant appeared in the FCC database hinting at an upcoming worldwide launch. Now, tipster Mukul Sharma has shared the expected global launch timeline of the series.

First on the Redmi Note 12 series’ international tour is India, where Xiaomi is marketing the smartphones as being 12x ‘bigger, faster, and super amazing’ than other Redmi Note models. An exact launch date remains unknown for the time being, with Xiaomi electing to focus on teasing what could be to come from the Redmi Note 12 series, rather than confirming when it plans to introduce them. However, @yabhishekhd reports that the series could launch in India on December 23, albeit with a caveat that this information comes from a new source.

note 10 pro is good phone...but released in 2021 Q1......so the software update support will be shorter.

redmi more or less the same.... not much major upgrade.... mid range phone.
if re using as spare phone, not much diff.
if re using as main phone, just wait for rmn 12. but the problem now is next year 8% + tax for air shipping....so dunnoe how it going to impact the retail price...

judging from the timeline given, most likely jan/feb, we will get the global ver.

Yes, I am concerned about the software update primarily.
I saw there are 12/12 sales for Note 10 pro ongoing so I am kind of tempted for it.
The fact rmn 12 is scheduled for jan/feb does make me hesitate a little though.

never bothered about MIUI, i simply unlocked the bootloader and did the customary flashing of custom recovery, kernel and rom (Pixel OS A13)

Oh just saw its using dimensity 1080. TB sales doesnt looks good. But the current price is ok abt 400sgd. When it comes global i guess the price not worth it liao.

Dimensity 1080 is actually the successor to Dimensity 920.... which is mid range.....
So the image processing speed is actually pretty impressive in relation to the processor

But you're probably right.... if they don't get the pricing right it will only backfire against themselves.... looking at how realme priced their realme 10 pro+ for the intl market vs CN.... i think Xiaomi won't be too far away from that approach either.....

don't bother waiting , it will be $320 to $349 for non-pro 6/128 once add inflation and gst

11 non pro 6/128 is now 279 289 range , every few months they inflation the price upward $10

rmn11 vanilla 6/128 now is 299 local retail price ... was 279 289 during july-august iirc
rmn11pro5g 8/128 increased to 459 ..... was 439 months ago

inflation & gst

use these as a guide for 12 series, it only goes upward
