I bought the note 12 pro plus previously from shoppe using china rom when it came so i unlocked bootloader and flash global rom + magisk and all works fine
Maybe someone can confirm those bands when using those Xiaomi/Poco/Redmi China ROM phones in Spore. The chipset itself should have a lot more bands, is just that Xiaomi disabled them at perhaps the ROM level or based on location.

Someone mentioned in another chat that he was using Mi 10 pro 5G with China ROM and is able to access bands that are not even officially listed. So the question is whether the phone itself automatically unlocked bands when they detect certain locations. If China travellers go abroad with their phones, it will cause them a lot of inconvenience if certain bands are not open to them.

A few weeks ago, I thought of buying the Redmi Note 13 Turbo which is a replica of the Poco F5, for the same price, can get the Turbo with 16GB RAM + 1TB storage, but it has China ROM which means there might be a problem with the bands.

Hi hi can advise, in this way, that all the mobile banking apps and SingPass App etc can run properly?

Moreover, all local banks are implementing (or going to implement) security checks at their mobile apps such that when there are side-loaded apps or bootloader unlocked detected at the phone, the mobile banking apps won't run, etc ... Can also advise any problem with this?

Thanks ...

For me its working fine but have to do trial and error like recent paylah update cuz root detection so i have to use shelter/island its like another profile to make it work, the same for for other bank apps if suddenly they update and detect root i will use shelter to make it work. but like u said the banking apps now updating their security etc. In any case cuz i have another phone clean and not rooted so if anything changes i will just use it from there

Thanks for the enlightenment. With the recent increases of scams, banks and financial institutions will no doubt keep increasing their security measures. This makes bootloader unlocking, rooting, flashing of roms, side loading of apps, and even as simple as activating developer options (Citibank mobile app's recent prohibition) more and more ineffective.

Xiaomi’s mid-end Redmi Note 13 Pro series goes global in early 2024

Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 series is already available in China, so there’s perfectly fine if you didn’t even hear about these phones if you don’t live in the Mainland.

But the good news is that Xiaomi has just confirmed the Redmi Note 13 Pro series will be going global in January 2024. No exact date has been provided, but India will be among the first countries to get at least one of the three Redmi Note 13 Pro series phone, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

Interestingly enough, the European pricing for the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ leaked, which doesn’t look that bad if accurate. Depending on the local VAT rates, European will be able to buy the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ for €450 and €500, respectively.

Both phones should be available in Europe in three different colors: black, blue, and white. However, we only know about a single model based on the amount of memory so far: 12/512GB RAM. That’s rather strange considering that customers in China got no less than eight different memory configurations split between the two Redmi Note 13 Pro series phones.

Ultimately, we expect all three Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 Pro series phones to go global early next year, it’s just the timing that might differ depending on the market, so stay tuned for more on this one.

How does Note 13 series versus Poco 6 series rank in terms of camera

Especially something like 13 pro+ vs X6 pro (K70E) since they should be both ~$450

CPU, screen, storage, battery, charging all those are fairly simple to compare 1 for 1

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ does seem to have a better primary camera than Redmi K70E (Poco X6 Pro) from reviews online of Chinese models, same 8MP ultrawide for both so probably a tie there but it loses out slightly on CPU (7200 Ultra Vs 8300 Ultra)

Poco X6 and Redmi Note 13 Pro are essentially the same phone so it's just a matter of which design you prefer and which is cheaper I guess.

I'm probably wrong since i'm anecdotally guesstimating from various reviews online. It seems Redmi Note 13 Pro and Pro+ are using the same camera and the difference are cpu, batt/charging & IP rating

And K70E vs K70 Review/ First Look, the cameras aren't too much difference. Then there is this K70 vs K70 Pro said K70 Pro isn't much better other than on paper spec

That would weirdly mean RN 13 Pro+ (same camera as RN 13 Pro) have better camera capability as all three K70s

In the Poco context, X6 having better camera than X6 pro, F6 , F6 pro
